Student answer (Band 6.0)
Advancement in science have paved a way of standardizing lives for people around the world. Taking in view the medical advancements, technological revolution , food production and what not, all thanks to the diverse scientific developments in various fields. Hence, I strongly agree with the beneficial aim of sciencitific goals due to a number of compelling reasons.
One of the reasons is the enormous contribution of science in medical field which enhances the overall quality of human life. The cure to many epidemic diseases and the treatement of various chronic illnesses are considered the most beneficial goal of science. Furthermore, the technological advancement with the revolution AI and automation, people have become more digitally literate and are now able to compete in international market as well. GMO's (Genetacally modified organisms) are now used in agricultural crops to produce huge number of seedless crops in less time.
On the contrary, there are certain drawbacks of this trend as well. With science being able to cope diverse medical conditions, human cloning can be a risky aspect of this. Too much dependance on AI can are making people isolated and their data privacy is also at stake. Production of food using GMO's can make countries totaly rely their agricultural sector on other nations for its purchasing. However, government can educate people about dangers of GMO's usage. Cyber securiyy must have various authentications for people's privacy and global ethical laws must be imposed refraining from human cloning.
In conclusion. with firm government intervention, implementation of global ethical laws and taking cyber security in action, science can certainly excel in people lives in all aspects including medicines, food and technology.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that science should improve people’s lives, and you support this with relevant examples from medicine, technology and food production. You also acknowledge risks such as cloning, dependence on AI and data privacy, then suggest safeguards. This addresses the task well overall. However, some points are more fully explained than others: medical advances are linked to quality of life, while the claims about GMO crops and countries relying on other nations are not clearly explained or supported. The discussion of drawbacks is useful, but its connection to your central view could be made more explicit. Develop fewer examples in greater depth and explain how each supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable progression: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on risks and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “On the contrary” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. This gives the essay a coherent overall arrangement. Some connections are nevertheless mechanical or unclear. “On the contrary” suggests a direct contradiction, whereas the next paragraph introduces qualifications and risks; “However” would fit the relationship more precisely. The GMO point also moves from crop production to national dependence without a clear bridge. In the conclusion, “In conclusion.” is incorrectly punctuated as a sentence break. Use transitions to show the exact relationship between ideas, and make references between sentences more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “chronic illnesses,” “automation,” “data privacy” and “ethical laws,” and these choices make the subject matter clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “overall quality of human life.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “standardizing lives,” “Taking in view” and “compete in international market” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “sciencitific,” “treatement” and “Genetacally” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations rather than elaborate phrasing, and proofread spelling carefully. This would make your vocabulary more flexible and convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “GMO’s … are now used in agricultural crops to produce…” and a conditional idea in “With firm government intervention… science can certainly excel…”. Meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “Advancement in science have” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “Too much dependance on AI can are making” combines incompatible verb forms. The opening fragment beginning “Taking in view…” also lacks a complete main clause. Punctuation is sometimes inaccurate, as in “In conclusion.” before the concluding sentence. Check agreement, verb patterns and sentence completeness, and revise complex sentences to ensure each has a clear grammatical structure.
