Today, development of science becoming more popular. The main priority of science should be to enhance people lives. I strongly agree with this view because science has significantly improves the people's lives in daily life, a lot of development was made by science such as smartphones and laptops and in medical profession as well. Also the way of communication over the internet was also part of the inventions made by science.
Firstly, the main advantage of science in people's lives are the inventions the science has made, there are uncountable things which we use in our daily life, such as smartphones and laptops, which significantly improve our lifes, people can communicate over long distances throught the internet without being physically present. Secondly, there are lot of inventions that help in medical profession, that can detect disease in earlier stages and helps in diagnosing severe problem in human body, such as Xray, MRI, CT scan machines which can detect the disease easily.
In addition, there are new technologies that breakdown the kidney stones by laser, previously medical professionals have to do a operating which leads to physical pain and inability for perform tasks in daily life. Furthermore, science has developed cars, bikes and buses for people to easily commute from one place to another. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that science should improve people’s lives, and the conclusion restates this view. You support it with relevant examples, including communication through smartphones and the internet, medical imaging, laser treatment for kidney stones, and transport. This addresses the task and gives the reader a clear rationale. However, the discussion is more illustrative than analytical: several examples are listed, while the link between improving lives and science’s most important aim could be explained more fully. The transport point, for instance, shows convenience but is not compared with other possible aims of science. To strengthen the response, develop fewer examples in greater depth and explain why improving lives should take priority over other scientific goals.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs present examples, and a conclusion summarises your position. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “In addition,” and “Furthermore” help signal the progression. The ideas are generally easy to follow, and the examples remain connected to the central argument. At times, however, the links feel mechanical, and the second and third paragraphs both add examples without clearly grouping them by a larger point. Some references are also unclear, as in “that can detect disease,” where the reader must infer what “that” refers to. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main claim, and connect examples explicitly to that claim rather than relying mainly on listing transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your ideas, including “inventions,” “diagnosing,” “severe problem,” and “commute.” The examples also show an attempt to use specific terms such as “MRI” and “CT scan.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “science,” “people,” “life,” and “inventions,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate. For example, “people lives” and “a operating” do not sound natural, while “breakdown the kidney stones” is not the appropriate verb form for this meaning. Spelling errors such as “throught” and “lifes” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise phrases for describing benefits and medical advances, and check collocations and spelling during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including sentences that explain causes and give examples. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “science has significantly improves” mixes verb forms, and “the main advantage … are” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “Previously, people travels … which takes,” the tense does not remain consistent with the past-time reference. There are also faulty constructions such as “have to do a operating” and “inability for perform tasks.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, so practise building accurate complex sentences and checking each clause for a clear subject, correctly formed verb, and appropriate article.
