Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and conclusion, and you support it with two relevant areas: transport and medical science. The examples of goods being transported internationally and COVID-19 treatment help illustrate how science can affect daily life. However, the transport example is more about technology and trade than directly explaining how this improves people’s lives, and the medical paragraph would benefit from a clearer explanation of the specific benefits of scientific advances. Some claims, such as science making people “healthy and fit,” remain broad. Develop each main idea with a more precise explanation and a relevant example, while keeping the focus on the extent to which improving lives should be science’s most important aim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. This makes the argument easy to follow. You also use basic linking expressions such as “For instance,” “In conclusion,” and “Due to these all.” At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening “And also” begins a sentence in a way that does not smoothly connect the ideas, while “Because of science” introduces a fragment rather than a complete explanation. The transport example also takes several sentences to reach its point. Use linking phrases more selectively and make the relationship between each claim, explanation, and example explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “transportation,” “chronic diseases,” “medicine,” and “virus,” so the reader can understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, such as “increment of peoples lives,” “living of peoples standard high,” and “the out come of science.” Spelling and word forms also need attention, including “tansportation” and “technologies” where the singular “technology” is intended. These issues sometimes make the phrasing awkward, even though the overall meaning remains understandable. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “because” and “which,” and your main ideas are generally understandable. However, some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms remain. For example, “Many transportation mode has been made” has a plural-agreement problem, while “Because of science human are being know” is not grammatically formed. The sentence beginning “Because of science” is also a fragment, and “It discover” does not match its subject in the conclusion. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural agreement and tense. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument smoother.
