Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that science should improve people’s lives, and you support this with relevant examples from healthcare and education. The discussion of laser eye treatment and online learning shows how scientific developments can benefit people. However, the task asks about science’s most important aim, and the response mainly lists benefits rather than explaining why improving lives should take priority over other possible aims, such as expanding knowledge. The daily-life benefit mentioned in the introduction is not developed in a separate example, and some claims, such as the effect of online learning on transportation and the environment, need clearer explanation. The response is also 13 words below the required minimum. Develop the reasoning and add a specific example to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs discuss healthcare and education, and a conclusion restates your position. Topic sentences such as “science plays a vital role in the improvement healthcare” help readers follow the main points, while “Therefore” and “As a result” signal consequences. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, the connection between online classes and their “positive impact on the transportation as well as environment” is not explained, and “those are correct” in the conclusion has an unclear reference. The healthcare paragraph also packs several examples into one long sentence. Use clearer links between each example and its benefit, and make references explicit to strengthen progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “medical treatment,” “laser treatment,” “educational benefits,” and “online classes,” which allows you to communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “plays a vital role” and “considerable amount.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “daliy,” “modren,” “easliy,” and “thier.” Some combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “improvement healthcare,” “city scan machine,” and “smart electronics devices.” These choices sometimes make the reader pause, although the overall meaning remains understandable. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases—for example, “improve healthcare” and “CT scanner”—to make your vocabulary more accurate and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a relative clause in “which has ability to scan any human body part.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence structure and grammatical forms are frequent enough to limit accuracy. Examples include “Due to invention” (missing an article), “doctors can found the disease” (incorrect verb form), and “Students use the smart phones and laptops for educational purpose” (number and article problems). The long sentence describing the scanner also has awkward clause construction and punctuation. Practise accurate article use, verb forms after modal verbs, and plural agreement, then divide long sentences into shorter units. This will help you show greater control while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
