Student answer (Band 5.5)
Today, due to new technologies AI generations, new inventions and machines are made human lives easy to live. The most important purpose of science should be to improve people lives but i partially agree with this statement. In this essay will explain some reasons for that and also going to give my opinion according to my knowledge and experience.
On the one on hand, the most important aim of science is how to make human life easy to live. In our country more people are now adopting new technologies and digital advancements for instance: smartphones, microvave oven, AI generated cars and many more things that people can appreciate it. Moreover, the new technologies will help in many circumstances such as at hospital, schools , colleges and in many industrial zone.
On the other side, to improve people lives is the not only aim of scientists. In addition, we should gave priorities to environmental problems faced by many people, for example: the new technologies, machines and radiological waste should not harm soil, air and water because these are necessary to fill our basic needs such as with out food , water and in durty air the human can not live in such places. Furthermore, nowadays the new technologies and digital advancement are expensive that not every person can afford it to buy them selves, i think they can advised to put some minimal amount for it , as a result people can purchase and use it even in low budget.
In conclusion, the science should not only priorities to improve people lives but also can think about the nature, environment and they can apply minimum cost on digital products that everyone can purchase it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question and state a qualified position: “I partially agree,” then argue that science should also protect the environment and make technology affordable. These are relevant reasons, and examples such as medical and educational settings help illustrate science’s practical value. However, the position is not fully developed: the first body paragraph mainly lists technologies, while the environmental and affordability points are introduced without explaining how they should rank alongside improving people’s lives. The conclusion repeats these points rather than resolving the extent of your agreement. To strengthen the response, explain what you mean by “most important” and develop one example showing how scientific progress can improve lives while also addressing environmental or access concerns.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrast between “On the one hand” and “On the other side” helps readers follow the main direction, and “Moreover” and “Furthermore” signal additional points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some links do not clearly show how one idea follows from another. For example, the discussion moves from environmental waste to the cost of technology without explaining their relationship. The opening phrase “On the one on hand” is also an inaccurate transition. Improve cohesion by using clear topic sentences, grouping related points, and adding explanations that connect each example to your position rather than relying mainly on linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “digital advancements,” “radiological waste,” “environmental problems” and “afford.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, and some choices show an attempt to be specific. However, the range is limited and several word combinations or forms are inaccurate, such as “AI generations,” “make human lives easy to live,” and “industrial zone.” These expressions sometimes make the intended meaning less natural or precise. There are also spelling errors, including “microvave,” “durty” and “with out.” Build a more accurate range of collocations for science and its effects, and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise phrases such as “AI-generated technologies,” “make people’s lives easier,” and “industrial sectors.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as a result,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur in basic sentence patterns and in attempts at complex structures: “In this essay will explain” lacks a subject, “we should gave priorities” has an incorrect verb form, and “the human can not live” has problems with article and number. Agreement and sentence construction also need attention in “the science should not only priorities.” Punctuation and spacing around commas are uneven, and some sentences combine several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise forming complete subject–verb sentences first, then check verb forms, articles, plurals and clause boundaries when adding explanations. Greater accuracy in these patterns would make your argument easier to follow.
