Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You express a relevant overall view: science improves life, and your examples of medical treatment, communication, weather forecasting and recycling support this position. However, the response only partly addresses the question because it does not clearly explain what should make improving people’s lives science’s most important aim, or consider any limits or competing aims. Several points are asserted rather than developed; for instance, the recycling example is mentioned but not explained in terms of its benefits to people. The opening is broad and does not establish a precise position until the conclusion, where “I will be agree” makes your stance less clear. State your degree of agreement directly, then develop two or three reasons with specific explanations and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a concluding statement. The examples generally follow the points they are intended to support, so the reader can identify the main topics. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from disease treatment to communication without a clear link, while the second combines weather forecasting and recycling. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, and the opening repeats “science” and “importance” without guiding the reader toward the argument. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to that idea, and make references such as “it” and “this advancement” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “dangerous diseases,” “communication,” “weather forecast,” “recycling” and “artificial intelligence,” which helps convey relevant ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. For example, “high machinery” does not clearly describe medical equipment, and “easily soutable” is not an appropriate expression for treating infections. Phrases such as “do the communication easy” and “made many of the things uncomplicated” also sound unnatural. Spelling errors, including “Todays,” “Artifical” and “world wide,” further reduce control. Build a bank of accurate science-related collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if you are far away” and a relative clause describing the mother’s son. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation can make some sentences hard to understand. The opening is a run-on sentence, while “It also do the communication easy” has faulty verb agreement and structure. Other examples include “it also help” and “I will be agree.” Capitalisation and spacing after full stops and commas are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; check subject–verb agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries.
