Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you fully agree that science should improve people’s lives, and you give relevant examples from healthcare, education, communication and transport. The discussion of vaccines and online classes helps connect your view to practical benefits. However, the ideas are only partly developed: for example, you mention that modern medicines help doctors identify “human faults,” but do not explain what this means or provide a specific example. The conclusion also introduces government support without developing that point in the essay. The response is five words below the required minimum, and the final body paragraph ends mid-sentence (“science contributes alots the save”), which leaves one idea incomplete. Develop each example more clearly and complete the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around healthcare and technology, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “First of all,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. In the second body paragraph, “because of” begins a sentence after a full stop, and the ideas about communication, education and transport are listed quickly rather than linked through a clear progression. The unfinished phrase “science contributes alots the save” also interrupts the paragraph’s flow. Use transitions selectively, connect examples to the point they support, and ensure each paragraph reaches a complete ending.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “healthcare,” “vaccines,” “technological,” “education” and “transportation,” so the reader can identify the subject of each example. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “scientific advancements” and “objective of science.” However, spelling errors are frequent, including “inhance,” “modren,” “diferent” and “tranport,” and several word choices or collocations are unclear. “Highlight the human faults” does not clearly express the intended medical meaning, while “contributes alots the save” is difficult to understand. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common academic combinations, such as “improve quality of life” and “make a significant contribution to.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “Although” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “science play it’s vital roles,” where the subject–verb form and possessive construction are incorrect, and “the individual are able,” where singular and plural forms do not agree. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “because of the technological equipments” starts a new sentence with a lowercase letter, and “Although” is incorrectly used to begin the final sentence as a dependent clause. Practise agreement, complete sentence structures and punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
