Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, science takes places in our community with huge shares. Science should be to enhance people lives from different aspects. I firmly agree because science is use in all factors of people lives rather than past.
Firstly, smartphones having big part of science they directly impact people lives. It is the important for all individuals and everyone has smartphones because it has used for daily communication, send or receive messages including photos, videos and attachment. This is also use for the internet suffering. As well as very type of tasks they had done on computers, desktops and laptops now all these tasks are easily doing on smartphones. It provides ease for people to meet their requirements. When I never had knowledge about this advancement I had done most of crucial tasks on computer.
On the other hand, science should be help for people to solve their problems effectively and efficiently. Majority of people now completely rely on science to tackling their problems due to this people are now too much lazy and they directy effect the humans productivity.
I will concluded my all experience whenever the science had too much advancement in all their aspects, makes too much ease for people and science significantly important aim for improving people lives but people must have thinked about those type of activities where they will done their tasks without helping science. Due to this, people improves their productivity, abilities of thinking and doing tasks well or also rely on science where its necessary.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a position in favour of science improving lives, and the smartphone example is relevant: you explain its role in communication and completing tasks. However, the response only partly addresses the question because the discussion is narrow and the position becomes less clear when you warn that reliance on science makes people lazy. This could be a useful qualification, but you need to explain how it relates to your overall view and support it with a specific example. The conclusion repeats that science makes life easier and adds that people should sometimes work without it, but this point is not developed. To strengthen the response, discuss more than one area of science and explain why improving lives should be its most important aim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about smartphones, a contrasting point about dependence on science, and a conclusion. The sequence is generally understandable, and phrases such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand” signal changes in direction. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the smartphone paragraph moves from communication to internet use and then to personal experience without clearly connecting each point to the main argument. The contrast paragraph is brief, and the conclusion introduces several ideas at once. Some links are also mechanical or unclear, particularly “Due to this.” Use topic sentences to state each paragraph’s main claim, then develop it with a reason and example; make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “advancement,” “communication,” “productivity,” and “rely on science.” This gives you enough language to convey the general subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “science takes places in our community with huge shares” and “internet suffering” do not express the intended ideas clearly; “science is use in all factors” is also imprecise. There are spelling and word-form problems such as “directy” and “improves” where the intended form is unclear. Build a more accurate topic vocabulary and check collocations, especially when describing how technology affects daily life.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason introduced by “because” and a contrast beginning “On the other hand.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction often make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “smartphones having big part,” “it has used,” and “science should be help”; these need complete, correctly formed clauses. The final sentence also contains several clauses joined without clear grammatical control. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each clause has a subject and a correctly conjugated verb. More reliable sentence boundaries and punctuation would also improve clarity.
