Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that science should improve people’s lives, and the conclusion restates this view. The three relevant areas—communication, healthcare and transportation—address the topic, with examples such as video contact across distances and air travel. This gives the response a solid, relevant foundation. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the communication paragraph says saved time can be used for study, but does not develop how this improves people’s lives. The healthcare example also remains general and unclear. To strengthen the response, explain the impact of each example more precisely and develop the reasoning consistently; this would add the fuller support and extension needed for a stronger response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, three body paragraphs organised around separate benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Thirdly” make the progression easy to follow, and each paragraph stays broadly focused on its stated area. Some linking is mechanical, however, and connections between claims are not always smooth. For instance, “Consequently” introduces the idea of the world becoming a small village, but the relationship to the preceding point about saving time is not fully explained. The conclusion also repeats the main position without bringing the three strands together clearly. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make references between sentences explicit to improve flow and cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “communication system,” “healthcare,” “advancements,” and “transportation,” and the reader can generally identify the intended meaning. However, the range and control are limited by repeated broad terms such as “plays a significant role” and “improvement,” as well as inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations. Examples include “primarely objective,” “preciouse hours,” “strong physical health,” and “cover it instantly”; these choices sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret. Aim to learn vocabulary in accurate phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions for the benefits of communication, medical diagnosis and travel would help you express ideas with greater clarity and flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a relative clause in “where we might reach in so many days.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “now it is become easy” has an incorrect verb form, while “the whole world become” lacks subject–verb agreement. In “The access to modern medication make it easy,” the verb does not agree with its subject. Some sentences also have unclear or incomplete grammatical relationships. Practise building accurate sentences first, then extend them with subordinate clauses; careful proofreading for agreement and verb forms will improve reliability.
