Student answer (Band 5.5)
The aim of science is to change people life and it changes it very much. It can change the way of people lifestyle.
Before the innovation of science, the way of people living is very difficult then today. Their life style was very hard because they had nothing to do except hunting and went to new places. The science gets hike after the inovation of wheel an fire. before that people way of living is just to wakeup then hunt some animals just to feed themself and agriculture just to get fruits and crops.
Life starts changing after science and it unlock new ways of livings and new innovations which blows human mind. People develops new socities, industries and much more. Science gives awareness and new way of living. It also gives new activities to people. Following these activities they has changed there life style.
When science grows it gets sharp increase in many industries like fation industry, food industry, transportation and construction has also gets hike. People creates fationable dresses and new kinds of foods which we called fast food and some others. Also it gives good infrastructure and new socities to humans which changes their ways of life and improves there lifestyle. Transport industries has changed everything, like it turns a journey of weeks to days and a trip of days to hours or minutes. From my perspective science make the life very easy.
In conclusion, before science people live in caves and have nothing to wear but science changes all this by giving people socities and industries and transportation system.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a generally clear position that science improves people’s lives, and the examples about transport, food, clothing and infrastructure are relevant to the question. However, the response mainly describes changes associated with science rather than explaining how improving people’s lives should be science’s most important aim. The discussion also gives little attention to possible limits or other aims of science, so the extent of your agreement is not fully explored. Several claims, such as people having “nothing to do except hunting,” are broad and would benefit from more precise support. To develop the response further, state your degree of agreement explicitly in the introduction and explain how each example demonstrates a specific improvement in people’s lives.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall structure: an opening, paragraphs about life before and after scientific development, and a conclusion. The examples are generally grouped by topic, and phrases such as “In conclusion” help signal the ending. However, progression is sometimes repetitive: the ideas that science changes lifestyles and makes life easier recur without adding much explanation. Connections between points can also be unclear, as in the shift from early human life to modern industries. Some references, including “it” and “these activities,” do not always make their meaning precise. Organise the body around a few distinct reasons, such as health, transport and living standards, and use clear topic sentences and links to show how each supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of topic-related vocabulary, including “innovation,” “industries,” “infrastructure” and “transportation,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise: “changes,” “life style” and “new” appear frequently, while phrases such as “gets hike” and “blows human mind” are not natural in this context. Spelling errors such as “inovation,” “fation” and “socities” also make the writing less polished and can slow the reader. Aim to use more precise academic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe science as “advancing” or “transforming” society, and explain that transport has “reduced travel time” rather than saying it “turns a journey of weeks to days.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, and the main message is usually understandable. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent, with errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and plurals. Examples include “People develops,” “they has changed,” and “science make the life”; these should be “people develop,” “they have changed,” and “science makes life.” The sentence beginning “Before the innovation of science” also has an unclear comparison and tense pattern. Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and consistent past or present tense, then build longer sentences using clear clauses and punctuation.
