The most important aim of science should be to improve people’s lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
I agree with the statement that the most important thing that the science aim is to improve people's life. Everything is Science around you. Whether if you are walking, doing a movement or thinking, it is somewhat related to science.
Science is the most important thing that helps people gain knowledge about everything that's happening around us, and should be taught the schools. If we talk about the basic phenomena of any thing or structure requires science. In terms of biology, it teaches us about the organs, the simple mechanism of how energy is produced from food, all involves something or the others. Periods are considered to be related to science rather than some social and ancenstral beliefs.
Furthermore, it helps to improve people's life by adding elemts to them. Providing basic knowledge of everything. So they need to know how you perform basic movements in day-to-day lives. For example, walking involve friction, again related to mechanism of physics. The diet consist of encouraging people to eat healthy food by providiing them knowledge ofwhat is important for their body.
Moroever, if we don't have basic knowledge of anything that's happening then you would get involved in the myths that are not true and would get into some beliefs that are considered spiritually right.
In conclusion, I would agree tot the point that science should aim in improving people;s life by providing them enough knowledge about everything. As it is said, Science is an organized knowledge and should seek it from gradle to the crave.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you agree that science should aim to improve people’s lives, and you give relevant examples involving biology, nutrition and everyday movement. However, the response only partially develops the task. Much of the discussion explains that science provides knowledge, rather than showing how improving lives should be science’s most important aim or considering other possible aims. The examples of walking and food are brief, and the claim that people may otherwise adopt myths is not supported with a specific illustration. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits of a scientific advance in more detail and connect each example directly to your argument about science’s priorities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs also group related points, and transitions such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between sections. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the discussion shifts from science as knowledge to biology, daily movement, diet and myths without consistently showing how each point builds the argument. Some links are repetitive or mechanical, and references such as “it” and “them” in “it helps to improve people’s life by adding elemts to them” are unclear. Organise the body around distinct reasons, and use explicit links to explain how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “biology,” “organs,” “friction,” “mechanism” and “spiritually,” which helps communicate the subject matter. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “adding elemts to them” does not clearly describe how science improves lives, while “the diet consist of encouraging people” is an awkward way to express the point about healthy eating. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “anc enstral” (written as “ancenstral”), “elemts,” “providiing” and “gradle.” Choose precise phrases for scientific benefits and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few different sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if we don't have basic knowledge … then you would get involved in the myths,” and you use some simple sentences that are understandable. However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer structures often contain errors that make the relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “the most important thing that the science aim is,” “should be taught the schools,” and “walking involve friction.” There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction in “The diet consist of encouraging people.” Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, agreement and verb forms before adding more complex clauses.
