Student answer (Band 5.5)
The most vital target of science should be to enhance individual's lives.I totally agree with this notion because there are lots of area where people still suffer and if science find that solution so lives of people will be improved and that, I will explain in the following paragraphs.
First and foremost, many people are strugling because of the global warming such as farmers and other people who does not have faciltiy to survive in this climate change. To mean that, nowadays rain is occurs at any time and if the farmers are try to grow vegetables and fruits in their fields so they will be failed, and sometimes it might opisite heavy heat will destroy plants and trees, because of that farmers are struggling most. However, if science find any soultion to reduce this effect then it is easily possible for farmers to grow vegetables and fruits, and as a result they can able to improve their lives.
Secondly, there are many diseases which does not have any cure or medicine. So this should be aim of science to find medicine and cure for this type of diseases. In this kind of disease people not only die but they are also suffering and having lots of pain. For example, still science is not able to find cure of cancer, but if they will find that then it will be helpful for millions of individuals and as a consequeces their way of living life will be improved.
To sum up, main aim of science shoulb be always to improve to lives because people are suffering from so many things and only science has way to solve their problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you fully agree that science should aim to improve people’s lives, and you return to this view in the conclusion. Both body paragraphs give relevant reasons, focusing on climate-related difficulties for farmers and the search for treatments for serious diseases. The cancer example helps show how scientific progress could benefit many people. However, the climate-change argument is less clearly explained: the link between unpredictable weather, scientific solutions, and improved lives needs more precise development. The disease paragraph also makes a broad claim about cancer without explaining a particular scientific advance or its likely impact. Develop each example with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and acknowledge, if relevant, that science may have other important aims too.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Signposting such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up” makes the progression easy to follow. This clear structure is a strength. To make the connections more natural and precise, reduce reliance on formulaic transitions and improve links within paragraphs. For example, the sequence beginning “To mean that” does not clearly introduce the explanation that follows, while “because of that” and “as a result” repeat similar cause-and-effect functions. Use clearer references to connect each example to its main point, and separate sentences where ideas currently run together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “global warming,” “climate change,” “diseases,” “cure,” and “farmers,” so the reader can understand the main subject matter. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make the expression awkward or occasionally unclear. Examples include “find that solution,” “opisite heavy heat,” “soultion,” and “way of living life.” Some phrases are also repeated, particularly “improve their lives” and “vegetables and fruits.” Build a wider set of accurate expressions for scientific research, health, and environmental effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your examples without relying on general wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if science find any solution … then it is easily possible” and a relative clause in “diseases which does not have any cure.” This shows an effort to express cause, condition, and explanation. However, control is uneven: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur in several places. For instance, “science find” should use a third-person singular verb, and “people who does not have” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening also joins sentences without adequate spacing or punctuation. Practise building accurate complex sentences, especially with “if” clauses, and proofread each sentence for agreement and punctuation. Greater accuracy would make your reasoning easier to follow.
