Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you totally agree that science should improve people’s lives. You address this through two relevant areas—making work faster and easier, and improving healthcare—and give examples such as robots completing tasks more quickly and technology helping doctors treat patients. These points respond to the question, but they are not developed equally or in much detail. The workplace example gives a time comparison, yet does not explain why this benefit makes improving lives science’s most important aim. The healthcare discussion makes broad claims, such as “every disease can now be treated,” without qualification or a specific illustration. To strengthen the response, explain the significance of each example and consider why this aim should take priority over other possible scientific goals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs discuss work and healthcare, and a conclusion restates the position. The paragraphing helps readers follow the main topics, and transitions such as “For instance,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” signal stages in the argument. However, some linking is mechanical or does not express the relationship accurately: “On the other side” suggests a contrast, although healthcare is another supporting point. Ideas within paragraphs also repeat, particularly the claims that science makes work “faster” and “easier.” Some references, such as “with it” and “every vital role,” are unclear. Use more precise links and organise each paragraph around a claim followed by explanation and a focused example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “technology,” “health sector,” “surgeons,” and “workload.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “human life,” “faster,” “easier,” and “health sector.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “staement,” “devloped,” “convinient,” and “analayze,” as well as inaccurate or unnatural collocations such as “human’s live easy” and “solving many lifes.” These choices sometimes make the meaning less clear. Build a more precise vocabulary for describing benefits and outcomes, and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, use “improve quality of life” rather than “make human life easy,” and “medical advances” rather than repeatedly referring to growth in the health sector.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “as,” “which,” and “whereas.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main argument is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation remain noticeable. For example, “science has improve many lives” has an incorrect verb form, while “science has now played a major role … however, every vital role is now been played” contains faulty tense and clause construction. In “technology has made it easier for doctor to analyize the problem and can cure the patient,” the subject of “can cure” is unclear. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and sentence boundaries, and proofread for capitalisation after full stops. Clearer, shorter sentences would help you control the more complex structures you attempt.
