Student answer (Band 5.0)
Environment plays a beneficial role in every society. Some of the environment problems is due to loss of plants and animals and many others environment problems like smog and traffic pollution. I will discused both views.
To begin, the conversation I would like to talk about some aspects of healthy environment that creates healthy mind. A healthier mind can perform well in any field. Firstly, loss of particular species of plants create a environmental problem for instace, plants are good for health they emit carbon dioxide which is necessary for humans to live.
Secondaly, by cutting plants there will be more pollution that is the source of environment problem. Whenever a strong blow of wind will come it will wash out the all area with durt that will goes into the people houses and it will create a pollution.
Furthermore, loss of particular species of plants and animals create a environmental problem like some of the species of animals is extinct now like dolphin because they were environment friendly.
On contrary, there are many other important problems are smog and traffic pollution that disturb our environment and creates a problems for us. And in this era this is the most common issue in our society. By burning the roots of crops creates a air pollution and the numbers of car and motorcycles emits bad gases creates environmental problems.
To conclude, with my personal opinion environment problem is due to loss of particular species of plants and animals and many other factors also played a role in environmental problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response attempts to discuss both views and gives a concluding opinion, but it addresses the task only partially. The discussion of species loss includes relevant points about cutting plants and extinction, while smog, crop burning and vehicle emissions represent other environmental problems. However, the examples and explanations are often unclear or inaccurate: plants are said to emit carbon dioxide “necessary for humans to live,” and the reference to dolphins does not explain the impact of species loss. Your final opinion also says that both categories matter without clearly identifying which you consider more important. The response is 242 words, below the 250-word minimum; 16 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop accurate, specific reasons for each view and state your position directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening introduces the topic, the body moves from species loss to other environmental problems, and a conclusion is provided. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” and “On contrary” signal these shifts. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear, and several sentences do not connect logically to the point they are meant to support. For example, the discussion of a “healthy mind” does not lead clearly into species loss, and the wind-and-dirt example is difficult to follow. Some transitions are also repetitive or awkward. Use one focused paragraph for each view, make each example directly support its topic sentence, and use clear references and transitions to show how ideas relate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “species,” “pollution,” “smog,” “traffic,” and “extinct,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, vocabulary is limited and repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “environment problem” and “creates.” Several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “beneficial role,” “strong blow of wind,” and “wash out the all area with durt.” Spelling errors such as “instace,” “Secondaly,” and “discused” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of environmental terms and check spelling; for example, distinguish between “carbon emissions,” “habitat loss,” and “species extinction” rather than relying on general references to pollution.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, including “Whenever a strong blow of wind will come…” and the sentence beginning “By burning the roots of crops…”. However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in agreement and articles appear in “Some of the environment problems is” and “a environmental problem”; verb forms are also inaccurate in “plants…emit carbon dioxide which is necessary” and “the numbers of car and motorcycles emits.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are sometimes awkward, especially where sentences begin with “And.” These errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and clause construction, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
