Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear preference for protecting species, and you also mention other environmental concerns, including global warming, greenhouse gases and pesticide use. However, the discussion of the two views is only partial: the case for species loss is developed more than the alternative view, which is listed rather than explained. For example, you do not show how climate change or pesticide pollution may be more important, or compare their effects with biodiversity loss. Some supporting points, such as plants providing oxygen and medicinal materials, are relevant but need clearer explanation and examples. The conclusion repeats your position but does not resolve the comparison. Develop both sides with specific reasons, then explain why one concern is more serious in your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “To begin with,” another introduced by “Furthermore,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the broad stages of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several ideas are joined without showing their relationship. For instance, the discussion moves from oxygen to extinct animals, then to medicines and paper, without explaining how each point supports the main argument. The second body paragraph is very brief and presents a list of problems rather than developing a connected explanation. Some linking phrases are also awkward or repetitive. Organise each paragraph around one central claim and use clear references and cause-and-effect links to connect supporting details.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “species,” “global warming,” “greenhouse gases,” “atmosphere” and “pesticide,” so the reader can identify the environmental issues you intend to discuss. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow, such as “natural breath,” “the main problem of the environmental,” and “the plants are the most important part of our life.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “extint,” “genration” and “medicion.” These issues sometimes require the reader to interpret your intended meaning. Build a more accurate set of environmental collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe species as “becoming extinct” and chemicals as “harming crops and soil.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional question about future generations and a sentence beginning “with the help of the plants.” However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation appear in the opening, where “In this cutting edge era” runs into “the plants a biggest role,” and in “The problems that are global warming , green houses gases…” Agreement and verb forms are also inconsistent, as in “plants … gives” and “animals … are getting extint that will be not seen.” Articles, plurals and sentence construction need more reliable control. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them using accurate clauses and punctuation.
