Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that some people thinks that lossing a sepcific breed of plants and animals is the main cause of environmental problem in our era. However other individuals believes that there more causes then this one. In this essay we will deep dive in both views and conclude it with my own perspective that there are other factors which contributs in this problem.
The people who are saying that environmental problems such climate change is due to decline in the speices of plants and animals have strong arguments. For an example cutting down the trees will dramatic negative impact on temperature because trees are help in absorbing the carbon dioxide gas and removing an animals will make less attractive the environment. As a result, country will also loss the different kind of plants and animals which helps in to represent the identity of a nation.
However, some individuals are thinking that there are more environmental problems such as health issues. For an example now developing countries have shifted their focus to building more industries will help them to become a developed nation without properly implementing the soltions of a problem that will cause due to these industries. So most of the citizens will end up with health issues such lung cancer.
In my opinion there are more things on which we will compromise due to environmental problem other then lossing only species like global warming which also has affect on our lives as well.
In conclusion, lossing a various kind of breeds of plants and animals due to enviromental problem there are more problems as well such as global warming, climate change and health issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your position: the introduction says other factors contribute more, and the body paragraphs address species loss and industrial pollution. This gives the response a relevant overall direction. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view links tree removal to carbon dioxide and national identity, but the explanation of how species loss becomes the main environmental problem is unclear. The second view introduces health issues and lung cancer, yet does not compare their scale or importance with biodiversity loss. Your opinion is also brief and does not explain why global warming or health impacts should take priority. Develop each view with a clearer explanation and a specific example, then make your comparison explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “However,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. Overall, the ideas can be followed, but progression is sometimes mechanical, and links between claims are not always clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from tree removal to animals making the environment “less attractive,” then to national identity, without explaining how these points connect. The opinion paragraph repeats the idea that other problems matter but does not build on the preceding examples. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and make each paragraph develop one central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “climate change,” “carbon dioxide,” “industries,” and “health issues,” so the subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “lossing a sepcific breed,” “removing an animals,” and “less attractive the environment” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “breed” is also not the right term for plant and animal species. Spelling errors such as “speices,” “soltions,” and “enviromental” further reduce precision. Build a bank of accurate environmental terms and check spelling and collocations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “trees are help in absorbing the carbon dioxide gas and removing an animals will make less attractive the environment.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make meaning hard to follow. Examples include “some people thinks,” “other individuals believes,” “there more causes,” and “which contributs.” The opening sentence also combines several ideas without a clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and verb forms. For instance, “Some people think that the loss of particular species is the main environmental problem” provides a clearer model.
