Student answer (Band 7.0)
During the last few decades, gloabl warming has been affecting our world in diffrent and numerous ways.
This life threatening phenomenon quickly became a major source of debate in the scientific community.
While some argue that the impacts upon endeangered species is the most serious issue, others believe that there are other more alarming problems.
As far as I am concerned, even though drawbacks on species and wildlife is quite alarming, I truly believe that other environmental problems outweigh them.
First of all, it is undeniable that global warming is threatening and endangering all kinds of living creatures. Animals, for instance, are one of the most affected. From their habitat to their food everything is impacted. Tempreatures around the world soared, during the last couple decades, destroying forests and corals. As a matter of fact, this increase in tempreatures led to irreversible damages. Hence killing whole breades of species that lost their environment. What is even worst is that this phenomenon is not yet finished and the worst is yet to come as each change only paves the way to numerous others. Making the loss of species the main environmental problem.
However, considering only this perspective may overlook other important factors and lead to an incomplete understanding of the broader issue. In fact, not only animals felt the critical rise of temperatures. Humans the responsibles of most of it did too. From the widespread of pollution and the appearance of new life threatening viruses and diseases humans were on the front line of these dramatic changes. On the long term, these changes may outlive humanity and the species. Changes that occured may never be undone.
To conclude, even though at first glance drawbacks on the wildlife seemed to be the major issue it became clear that worst changes await. For the best intrests of everyone, humanity as a whole should work together to minimize and prevent what is yet to come.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the task, presenting both sides of the argument and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact of global warming on biodiversity versus the broader threats to human health and systemic environmental stability. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding 'new life-threatening viruses' is mentioned but not fully explored or linked back to the comparison with species loss. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis to support your claims, ensuring the balance between the two viewpoints is more robustly argued.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two viewpoints. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'However', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is unclear, such as the sentence 'Changes that occured may never be undone', which lacks a clear antecedent. Additionally, some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring smoother logical transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'phenomenon', 'biodiversity', and 'irreversible damages'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'gloabl', 'diffrent', 'endeangered', 'Tempreatures', 'breades', and 'intrests'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey meaning, the lack of precision in word choice and the recurring spelling mistakes prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading and expanding your range of collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'Humans the responsibles of most of it did too' (missing punctuation and awkward phrasing) and 'From the widespread of pollution... humans were on the front line' (incorrect prepositional usage). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and refining your control over complex sentence structures.
