Student answer (Band 6.5)

A majority of people thinks that the primary environment problem is less amount of plant and animals while others hold the views that there are another problems as well. Such as, noise pollution and water pollution. According to me loss of wildlife and other environments problems are qually serious threat to environment.

There are enough proof to show that loss of animals and birds are major environmental problem. First, Broken food chain, Losing one species harm other animals and plant that depend on it for survival. cutting down trees removes nesting places. Brids are not getting place to build there nest to live there. Moreover, plastic waste harms animals while they eat that and become trapped into it.

other people have an other point of views, that they say there are a lot of other enviroment problem present as well such as , soil pollution, noise pollution, air pollution water pollution, and so on. water pollution kills fishs. air pollution causes a lot of human and animals diseases. soil pollution reduces crop productivity. Noise pollution also disturbs both wild life and people as well. Last year's survey shows that because of Noise students get distracted and they were not able to finish their exam. Because of that the all just get 30% marks.

According to me government should organise seminar to awar everyone how they can protect environment. Individuals need to grow more plants and trees, avoid use of plastic bags, use eco-friendly transpotation when ever possible. Save water and electricity People have to awar about 3R process, Reduce, Reuse and recycle. So they can reuse plastic bags.

In conclusion, Most of people see this problem as connected rather than separate. Protecting animals and birds and stop climate change both are equally important, they both need equal attention to keep the planet save.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the 'broken food chain' is a good start but lacks depth or specific examples to fully support the claim. The discussion of other environmental problems is a list of issues rather than a well-developed argument. While the prompt is addressed, the ideas are somewhat superficial, and the conclusion is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed explanations or real-world examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. For example, the frequent use of 'Moreover' and 'According to me' feels slightly forced. There are also issues with referencing; in the third paragraph, the phrase 'other people have an other point of views, that they say' is clunky and disrupts the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences connect more naturally would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'less amount of plant' (should be 'fewer plants') and 'other environments problems'. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and form, such as 'Brids' (spelling), 'fishs' (incorrect plural), and 'transpotation' (spelling). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of spelling errors limit the score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('A majority of people thinks'), article usage ('the primary environment problem'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. For example, 'Because of that the all just get 30% marks' is grammatically incorrect and unclear. While you attempt complex structures, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic accuracy and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and pluralisation will help improve your score.
