Student answer (Band 5.5)
For society, few resources are more crucial than the improving sustainability of particular species of plants and animals. In many developed and developing countries, a substantial amount of money is allocated to keeping safe from pollution. There are various reason which contribute environmental problems. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that loss of endangered species has less contribution to damage environment, and many several reason, such as air pollution, global warming, and traffic cognition play a major role for environmental disasters.
To begin with, loss of some species in plants or animal creates a significant concern into environment. It helps to damage biodiversity and effort on food scale on animal. For example, if any species will become endangered, such as tigers in Sundarban forest , other animals will exclusively increase. On the other hand, if people contribute to cutting particular trees extremely, there will be rare in environment. It may be caused by global warming. But cutting a particular tree has a little contribution to environmental contribution.
On the contrary, air pollution can create significant issue for human well-being. For example, many people and animals can be suffered from epidemic and pandemic diseases. As a result, many species can be endangered. Moreover, over-crowded city, usage private vehicles, and deforestation have responsible to increasing global warming. Burning carbon-dioxide from many vehicles play a major concern in this issue. As a result, the climate becomes change and carbon-dioxide has become increased in the atmosphere. For example, a recent study in UK published that global warming has 40% contribution to change atmosphere. In addition, traffic jam creates sound and air pollution, which affects significant role in environmental issue. Many nation, such as the United state and United Kingdom has emerged it as a significant and pressing issue.
If the government and higher society can take necessary steps to mitigate the issue, people and other animal can stay safely.
To sum up, the loss of particular species has little contribution to damage environment. I strongly focus that the other issues play a vital role in environmental degradation. To address this issue, it is the responsibility of the government and other authorities to evaluate the role of addressing the problems for enrichment of human and other species life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the argument regarding air pollution is supported with examples, the discussion on biodiversity loss is less clear and occasionally contradictory, such as the confusing claim that if one species becomes endangered, others will 'exclusively increase'. The essay maintains a position throughout, but the depth of analysis is limited by some imprecise reasoning. To improve, ensure that arguments are logically sound and fully explained rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'On the contrary', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'many several reason' or 'it may be caused by global warming' which lacks a clear antecedent. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother to achieve a more natural, academic tone.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'traffic cognition' (likely meaning congestion), 'burning carbon-dioxide' (which is technically inaccurate), and 'higher society' (likely meaning authorities or policymakers). While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary, the errors occasionally impede the clarity of the argument. A wider range of precise, academic vocabulary is needed to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that persist throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('many nation... has emerged'), incorrect preposition usage ('effort on food scale on animal'), and awkward phrasing ('have responsible to increasing'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the writing from being consistently accurate. More attention to subject-verb agreement and article usage is required.
