Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's evolving world the environmental issues are increasing rapidly. Some people believe that disapearence of specific group of speicies such as animals and plants, is the main issue. While others think that other environmental issues are more important. Although, the species extinction is undoubtably a serious concern, I strongly believe that other environmental issues like climate change and Pollution are more pressing problems because they have wider and huge bad impacts on environment that can affact human and animals as well.
On one hand, this can't be ingnored that the loss of biodiversity is rapidly increasing. Every species plays important role in the wildlife and even disapearence of even one can disrupt the whole foodchain and ecosystem. Some species plays important role in human's life as well because they provide multiple resources such as, food or medicine. Once a species becomes extinct, its genetic characteristics and potential benefits are lost permanently. For instance, If a species lost the products that can be made only from that perticular species will be in danger as well.
On the other hand, there are other noticeable problems like climate change and pollution are increasing dramatically and have very dangerous impacts on human and other species as well. The climate change broadly is a huge problem in this era, due to high temprature the ice caps melts and raise the sea level. These consequences affect not only wildlife but also human communities, agriculture and national economies. In addition, air and water pollution can directly threaten public health, while excessive greenhouse-gas emissions contribute to global warming.
To wrap up, the loss of some speices is a big problem but in contrast the other problems needs to be noticed early and taken action on to protect both human and animal communities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both the loss of species and other environmental issues while providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, particularly the argument regarding climate change and pollution. However, the development of the first body paragraph is slightly repetitive, and the conclusion is somewhat brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that the supporting examples are more specific and fully explored to demonstrate a deeper level of critical thinking. Overall, the position is consistent throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views. Cohesive devices such as 'On one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In addition' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the awkward phrasing in the final sentence of the first body paragraph. Improving the variety and sophistication of linking words would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'biodiversity', 'ecosystem', and 'greenhouse-gas emissions'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'disapearence', 'ingnored', 'temprature', and 'perticular'. Additionally, some word choices are imprecise, such as 'huge bad impacts' and 'big problem'. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling and using more precise, academic collocations rather than relying on basic adjectives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'Some species plays') and article usage errors (e.g., 'the loss of some speices is a big problem'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the writer attempts complex structures, these are often marred by minor errors. Increasing the frequency of error-free sentences and refining the control over complex grammatical forms will help achieve a higher score.
