Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of biodiversity and mentioning other environmental issues like pollution. However, the development is weak and lacks a formal academic structure. The student's opinion is present but expressed in a very informal and repetitive manner. The argument regarding 'Allah' and 'special work' is not relevant to an academic discussion on environmental science. The response fails to provide a balanced discussion of 'both views' as requested, instead focusing on a personal, somewhat disjointed narrative. The ideas are not sufficiently extended or supported with clear examples, leading to a limited response that does not fully meet the requirements of an academic essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphing is non-existent or illogical. The flow of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences are not linked effectively. Cohesive devices are almost entirely absent, and where they are used, they are misused or repetitive (e.g., 'no only this have'). The progression of ideas is disjointed, moving abruptly from the importance of plants to animal rights and then to engine emissions. This lack of logical organization makes the text difficult to read and understand.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and basic, often relying on repetitive words like 'environment', 'people', and 'clean'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'make a carbon dioxide' (instead of 'absorb') and 'gain a oxygen'. The student struggles to express complex ideas due to a lack of appropriate terminology. Spelling errors are frequent (e.g., 'abd', 'secound', 'resposible', 'envionment'), which occasionally makes the meaning unclear. The range is insufficient to discuss the topic with any degree of precision or academic tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. There are frequent, systematic errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement ('they amde this animal'), article usage, and tense consistency. Punctuation is poor, with many run-on sentences and missing capital letters. Complex structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to a lack of clarity. The high frequency of errors throughout the text significantly impedes communication and makes the writing difficult to follow for the reader.
