Student answer (Band 5.0)

Through different forms of print and digital media we come across report that nowadays many species of plants and animal are disappear and environment causes very essential for people. One school of thoughts emphasizes that many people believe that loss of particular species is our problems. Conversely there is an argument that there are more important environmental problems. After scrutiny of both the sides i am on the fence.

Those who believe in the former view put forward solid reasons. To begin with, many plants and animal we loss due to environment issues. This view exists as, people lost their creatures and upcoming generation have less knowledge about our species. As a result, people lost their culture. In addition to these, nowadays many plants are not growing rapidly compare to past. By this i mean that, in previous time people have good atmosphere they can easily grow plants and get fresh foods. Therefore, people become more healthy and energetic. According to recent research in this matter, it has been proven that 30% plants and animal we lost due to environment.

However, Those who are against the former view state that people facing lot of struggle in their life due to climate change. As matter of fact, nowadays without season people see raining because of environment change issues. So, it is not good for our country. A part from this, due to climate change people are suffer from many disease. This hypothesis is buoyed in the idea that it is huge impacts on individuals life. Thus, environment key of people health's. For instance, 50% new disease come due to environment problems.`

My inclination can be bolstered with reality that losing plants and animal as well as environment problems both are very essential issues for people. generally speaking, without good climate and species disappear we face lot problems in our life.

In conclusion, down the lane, government should take strict rules for clean environment. It is recommended that people can also corporate with government and make it good environment and value our species.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views, but the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. For instance, the argument that losing species leads to a loss of culture is asserted but not logically explained or supported with relevant examples. The opinion provided is 'on the fence,' which is acceptable, but the justification for this stance lacks depth. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the connection between environmental issues and the specific points raised (such as the 30% or 50% statistics) is not clearly articulated. To improve, you should focus on providing concrete, logical explanations for your claims rather than relying on vague statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'To begin with', 'In addition to these', 'In conclusion'), they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly, such as 'A part from this' or 'down the lane'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. The transition between the two views and your own opinion is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'environment causes very essential', 'people lost their creatures', and 'without season people see raining'. These errors sometimes impede the reader's understanding. You attempt to use some academic vocabulary, but it is often used inaccurately or in an unnatural way. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on using words in their correct context and expanding your range of vocabulary to express complex ideas more precisely, rather than relying on basic or misused terminology.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar, such as subject-verb agreement ('many plants are not growing', 'people are suffer'), article usage, and tense consistency. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and misused commas. These errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb forms and pluralization before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
