Student answer (Band 5.5)

Environment is one of the important factor for every indivuals. some believe that due to loss of particular species of plat and animal can cause the environment whereas other say that there are more important issue. I partially agree. In this essay I will eloabrate my both the aspects.

Every plant and animal is crucial part of the environment. From some plants and animals we can produce food and medicine. With limited source of species human can't fulfill their requirement of food and medicine. To revolve the cycle species is one of the important factor and to continue the cycle of ecosytem we need proper ratio of species. For example, Bees which helps to create food product like honey and also in pollutant.

On other hand, climate changes which occur due to pollution, increasing the population and the limited resource to create infrastructure and other necessary things. Another point is global warming like air pollution, water pollution and many more which affect human's health as well as the species as they can develop variety of disease and can be carry forward. For example, In my area all industrial waste is thrown to water and that water is then used by human for bath and animals drank that water which affect their body which results to many disease and sometimes to dead also.

In the conculsion, environmental problems not always occured by loss of particular species but also increase by global warming which is directly impacted to both the species and humans.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The essay addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the importance of species for food and medicine, the explanation is brief. Similarly, the discussion on climate change is relevant but lacks depth in connecting it back to the prompt's comparison of environmental problems. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation and a concrete example that directly supports the main point.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, 'To revolve the cycle' is unclear, and the transition 'On other hand' is missing an article. Some sentences are disjointed, making the flow feel slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally, and ensure that the relationship between sentences is clearly established through better referencing and logical progression.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'indivuals' instead of 'individuals', 'plat' instead of 'plant', and 'pollutant' used incorrectly to describe the role of bees. The phrase 'can be carry forward' is also awkward. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental science would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Environment is one of the important factor' (subject-verb agreement), 'can cause the environment' (incomplete thought), and 'sometimes to dead also' (incorrect word form). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement, article usage, and correct sentence construction.
