Student answer (Band 5.5)
Environmental problem became the debatable factor among public, where some think reduction is species of flora and fauna is more destructive instead of other problems. In my opinion I consider losing wildlife and vegetation might be more harmful than any other environmental crisis and the explanation is discussed in the up coming paragraph.
According to people who hold the notion that instead of natural vegetation there are other important problem to be considered such as, pollution, and increase of global warming. To elaborate, pollution have became a major issues in various metropolitan states like Delhi, Mumbai causing significant affect on the people health making there immune system weak, makes air hard to breath which badly affects the respiratory system of the body leading to problem of asthma and blood circulation problem. Furthermore, concerns are also rising about the level of temperature rise in environment due to global warming mostly happened because of rising of pollution. Whereas, this could be solved by putting restriction but to solve the loss of plants and animal might be more harder replenishment of species takes years.
I believe that extinction of vital species of plants and animals put a dramatic affect on ecosystem because to survive the food chain need to followed by different animals which is important to stop dying of wildlife. Losing plants that are essential for those species that are dependent on for there survival like camel, cows essential source of food is plants which then aided human to get milk to produce milk related product. Therefore, making plants and animals important to preserve not even that if the species of wildlife get extinct it might takes several years to replenish like the species of Saiga this is recorded as the vast extinction in history and it still hard to replenish.
In conclusion, issues regarding pollution and global warming are impactful but could be solved by putting restriction, even though the recovery of plants and animal species took several years, as it is not certain that they might fully recover or not, hence I loss of plants and animals matters the most.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you discuss pollution and global warming as alternative problems, the explanation of why species loss is 'more harmful' is slightly repetitive and lacks depth in terms of scientific or ecological reasoning. The argument regarding the food chain is a good start, but it could be more effectively linked to broader environmental stability. The position is consistent throughout, but the supporting evidence for the importance of biodiversity could be more sophisticated to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Therefore', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the logical progression is slightly hindered by awkward phrasing, such as in the transition between the discussion of pollution and the conclusion. Referencing is occasionally unclear, for example, the phrase 'this is recorded as the vast extinction' lacks a clear antecedent or context. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'extinction', 'replenishment', and 'ecosystem'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations that limit your score. For example, you use 'debatable factor' instead of 'subject of debate', and 'putting restriction' instead of 'implementing restrictions'. Additionally, there are grammatical errors involving word forms, such as 'significant affect' (should be 'effect') and 'more harder' (should be 'harder'). To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations and ensuring you use the right part of speech in your sentences.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain errors that impede clarity, such as 'Environmental problem became the debatable factor among public, where some think reduction is species of flora and fauna is more destructive instead of other problems.' There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('pollution have became', 'it might takes') and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article consistency.
