Student answer (Band 4.5)
Few people said that the big environmental problem of our time is the loss of specific of plants and animals as well while other people things that they become more important environmental problems these two opinion are good but the other problem is cause most environmental problems now days.
in this eassy some people things that the upcomming environmental challenges just because of dissappering of our precious animals and plants somehow it relates but not truly. well animals could not be give some banifits to envrionmental change but also plants give great impact on atmosphare and environment cutting large amount of plants which may problem of climate warmming and temperature could be goes up in some regions also less producing oxygen gas so we can say this could be problematic the reasion is good and justify but animals is just living things if also they fit into any environment and not give nagetive impact on environment and society.
The other people things very smartly and i personally agree with this that are more several factors which to leads to cause health problems and issues most environmental problems day by day effecting ozone layers just of lots of industries producing carbon dioxiode gasses the emssion of old vehicles lots of elecrtonic devices producing rays and waves the other homes appliences like air conditioning and fridge produce harmfull gasses so these are all the things which disturb environmental problems in conclusion both types of people thinking in good way but the others thinking is resonable and gives some reflection of environmental problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to discuss both views regarding whether species loss is the main environmental problem or if others are more important, and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is severely limited and lacks clarity. For instance, the student states that 'animals could not be give some banifits to envrionmental change' but provides very superficial and fragmented support. The discussion of alternative problems in the third paragraph touches upon carbon dioxide and ozone layers, but these points remain under-developed and are tangled in confusing phrasing. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon superficially, the ideas are not well-extended or logically structured, fitting best within the Band 5 descriptor where ideas are limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
Coherence and cohesion are major areas of weakness in this response. The essay lacks proper paragraphing conventions, opening with a run-on introduction that flows immediately into an uncapitalised second paragraph ('in this eassy...'). Transition words and cohesive devices are either missing, misused, or overly repetitive, such as the constant use of 'things' (meant to be 'think') to link ideas. There is no clear overall progression of argument, and referencing between pronouns and their antecedents is frequently confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the train of thought. This corresponds closely to the Band 4 descriptor, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently and progression is lacking.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and heavily restricted. The student frequently confuses word forms and parts of speech, such as using 'things' instead of 'think' ('other people things very smartly') and spelling errors like 'eassy', 'upcomming', 'dissappering', 'banifits', 'envrionmental', 'atmosphare', 'warmming', 'reasion', 'nagetive', 'several' (intended to be 'severe'), 'elecrtonic', and 'appliences'. There is also a lack of precision, with phrases like 'more several factors which to leads to cause health problems'. The lexical range is minimally adequate to convey a vague sense of the topic, but frequent word-choice and spelling errors strain the reader, placing it firmly at Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the text. The response consists almost entirely of severely flawed run-on sentences that lack appropriate punctuation and syntactic structure, such as 'the emission of old vehicles lots of elecrtonic devices producing rays and waves the other homes appliences like air conditioning and fridge produce harmfull gasses so these are all the things which disturb environmental problems'. Subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and clause structures are constantly violated ('animals could not be give some banifits', 'temperature could be goes up'). There is a complete absence of error-free complex sentences, and basic punctuation is largely ignored. This level of grammatical accuracy and range aligns with Band 4.
