Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes ,I agree with this there is when there is loss of some species there is a loss in the biodiversity .Either the species is plants or animals both are contributing in the ecosystem . Every things in this universe has its own value nothing has created without its role in the environment.Flora and Funa have major role in the food chain and food web. When we remove any flora or funa from the environment it can distrub the whole chain. In Food chain if one specie is lost there is a disturbance in the whole food web.So there is whole distubance in the ecosystem.
Some Environmental problems are man made like Pollution.Human are created this environmental issue in the form of land ,water or air Pollution.People have created certain products for the benefit of their own life they are not considering this can create harm in the environments. Now People are realizing that vehicles are contributing more air pollution, noise pollution. Many people and stake holder are moving toward eco-friendly vehicles which can help in reducing pollution.
In conclusion we would say that if we disturb natural things we cannot recover that thing very easily.Loss of particular any plants and animals. If they are effected with the climate change we have to work on that because if today one specie is lost then there is more chance of damaged to other species as well. We cannot ignore other environmental issue like climate change because in environment every things is linked with the other

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response attempts to discuss both views regarding whether the loss of species is the main environmental problem compared to other issues such as pollution and climate change, and it provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on biodiversity repeatedly circles back to the food chain without deeply extending the argument. The position is stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion, but the arguments lack sufficient elaboration and specific examples. Consequently, the task is addressed, but the ideas remain under-developed throughout the body paragraphs, aligning with a Band 5.5 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays an attempt at logical organization, but paragraphing and overall progression are poorly managed. The first paragraph is overly dense and contains several disjointed thoughts. Transitional phrases like 'Some Environmental problems are man made' and 'In conclusion we would say' are somewhat mechanical and basic. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'Every things in this universe has its own value nothing has created without its role'. While the overall flow is discernible, the lack of smooth transitions and effective paragraph structure results in noticeable lapses in cohesion, supporting a Band 5.0 score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally strain comprehension. Examples include 'distrub' for disturb, 'specie' instead of species, 'Funa' instead of fauna, and 'stake holder' as two words. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'biodiversity', 'eco-friendly', and 'ecosystem', but these are offset by persistent basic lexical inaccuracies and grammatical word-form errors like 'Human are created this environmental issue'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences frequently result in grammatical errors. There are numerous punctuation and agreement errors, such as missing articles, incorrect verb forms ('nothing has created without its role'), and run-on sentences ('In Food chain if one specie is lost there is a disturbance in the whole food web.So there is whole distubance in the ecosystem'). These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a limited range of grammatical structures, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.
