Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well there are many factors being thread to the today's environmnent, which are harming our livings also. Therefore, some people believes that these problems are associated with the loss of some species of plants and animals, whereas other's perspective is related to many more other problems, thus i strongely agree with that, there are more problems associated with the environment.I will dicuss both view while coming an a single conclusion is not easy.
On the one one hand, many developing countries are tend to ward industries, which are being planted near the residence and they are being a huge thread to them. Moreover government also supports these projects even they don't work on safety pre cautions and environmnet friendly sources. For instance, many factory areas never have better sevrage system and the waste water of them often block the main holes as well as poluting the the drink able water, wild lifes are also being harm through these project. Moreover green house gasses are also being emerged direct in the air, which are a potentail thread to our ozone layer and making air harsh to breath.Hence governmnet should implement strict polices to them to over come environmnet related problems.
On the other hand, plants and animals plays a major role in making a place able to breath and live. More plants means fresh air and more animals especialy bacteries are helping the climate to be stablized. For instace, there is a desired need of plants and trees planted on the side of big roads,to overcome noise pollution as well as making the air fresh. Moreover many bacteries are being dintincted these days who used to eat dead ones.
In the conclusion, both factors plays a role in overcoming environmentel problems.Only fousing on specific plants cannot help prevent these. We must have to be balaned in these.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that biodiversity loss is the main environmental problem, and that there are more critical issues—while also providing a clear personal stance in the introduction and conclusion. Ideas are presented, such as industrial pollution and habitat stability, but they tend to be somewhat under-developed and lack extended specific examples. For instance, the mention of factories and bacteria touches upon relevant points, but these arguments remain at a general level rather than being fully elaborated. Furthermore, there is a minor contradiction in the introduction where the student states they strongly agree with 'more problems' but later concludes that 'both factors plays a role'. Overall, the task is addressed, placing this comfortably in Band 5.5 to 6.0, with a Band 6.0 awarded for attempting all prompt requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a clear overall arrangement. However, paragraphing is somewhat undermined by mechanical and faulty cohesive devices. There are numerous run-on sentences and punctuation issues that disrupt the logical flow, such as 'Well there are many factors being thread to the today's environmnent, which are harming our livings also. Therefore, some people believes...' Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or overused (e.g., excessive use of 'Moreover'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas can feel abrupt. Although the general progression of the argument is discernible, the execution of cohesion is sufficiently flawed to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. This performance aligns with Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student displays a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'biodiversity' (though misspelled as 'dintincted' for distinct or extinct) and 'green house gasses'. However, there are frequent spelling and word-choice errors that permeate the text, including 'environmnent', 'thread' instead of threat, 'believes' instead of believe, 'strongely', 'sevrage', 'poluting', 'drink able', and 'fousing'. These noticeable lexical errors and misspellings frequently distract the reader, though they do not entirely impede communication. The use of repetitive phrases and inaccurate collocations, such as 'making a place able to breath' and 'bacteries are being dintincted', keeps the score at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the response. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'plants and animals plays', 'some people believes'), article usage ('poluting the the drink able water'), and prepositional phrases. Complex structures are often faulty, and punctuation is poorly controlled, leading to fragmented or run-on sentences like 'thus i strongely agree with that, there are more problems associated with the environment.' While simple sentences are sometimes accurate, the high frequency of errors across basic and complex structures causes considerable difficulty for the reader and restricts the score to Band 4.5.
