Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people say that the main environmental issue of our generation is the loss of specific species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more significant environmental areas.
To begin with firstly few people think loss of particular species of plantae and animals is major issue it is as degradation of trees for manufacturing of paper and extraction of rubber for human needs directly affects the life of habitat. As there will be no sufficient source of food animals move from one place to another gradually leading to extinction as proper there is no suitable temperature according to their body preferences leading to biodiversity of nature. For example in my childhood we use hear chirping of sparrow early mornings but due to cutting down of trees causing it become totally extinct. Now a days we see these birds once in a blue moon there are many more like squirrel we almost can not find them as we used.
Secondly few people think that there might be more significant environmental problems perhaps might be as one of the example is building large wider road pavements, highways by destroying forests in most cases as directly leading to destruction of homes of many animals and misleading people about there is no loss of any individual habitat or species.so basically government should implement strict changes before destroying habitat of a life or sending species to a safe place to ensure there won't be any loss of particular plants and animal. As this is a crucial concern that loss of specific plant and animal might be due to exploitation of forest so implementation of strict protocols and need to be followed by wildlife conservationist.
In conclusion my opinion regarding this issue is effectiv strategies globally to save specific species from extinction is creating protective areas habitat preservation and restoration. As wells government should provide legal protection and enforcement to endangered species and most commonly community based conservation programmes must need to be implemented in order to protect wild life sanctury.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing the loss of specific species as a primary environmental concern alongside other significant issues like habitat destruction through infrastructure development. The student also presents a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, with over-generalised arguments and a lack of precise supporting evidence. The examples provided, such as the disappearance of sparrows, are personal anecdotes rather than well-developed broader arguments. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the ideas require deeper elaboration to achieve a higher band score. Therefore, this performance aligns closely with the band 5 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but overall progression is hindered by poor paragraphing and a lack of clear cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are frequently abrupt or mechanically forced, such as 'To begin with firstly' and 'Secondly few people think'. Additionally, referencing and pronoun use are sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical flow of arguments. Paragraphs contain multiple distinct ideas without smooth bridging. These issues place the response firmly in the band 5 category for cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively limited and repetitive, with noticeable errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'degradation of trees', 'plantae and animals', and 'wild life sanctury'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'extinction', 'biodiversity', and 'exploitation', these attempts are often accompanied by inaccuracies or awkward phrasing. The range is minimally adequate for the task, meaning it fits the band 5 descriptor well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty and fraught with grammatical errors. Run-on sentences and missing punctuation are prevalent throughout the text, as seen in sentences like 'As there will be no sufficient source of food animals move from one place to another gradually leading to extinction as proper there is no suitable temperature according to their body preferences leading to biodiversity of nature.' Errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and clause structuring cause frequent difficulty for the reader, matching the band 5 criteria.
