IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, plants and animal become famous in environmental. Many arguments claim that the main circumstance issues of our time is because loss of plants and creatures. While, others believe that there are more enviromental problem. The both views will discuss appropraitely with reasones and examples. I believe that there are more environmental problems.

There are several reasons why people believe that loss plant animals is the main issue of circumstance. One of the reason is because in the city, there are a lot of tall apartment, which make most of the plant and difficult to survive so they can die easily and become rare. For instance, the tree that used to grow near the street become die due to individuals transportation. As a result, it gives polution and the creatures loss of their place to stay and can make them die.

However, many people believe that the public is one of the main reason make problem in environment. They took several thing from the mountain for their importance thing. For example, they bring gun to the forrest to hunter animals and eat the meat for dinner. Furthermore, it can affect the animals such as bird become rare.

Both views have valid points, however I strongly believe that the public is one of the reason make bad environment. For example, In Denpasar city there are huge of plastic stuck in the water near street. It makes the water go up to the street and it cause the traffic jam especially when raining season.

To conclude, both plants and animals and environmental problems have their own strengths. The key is to understand which approach suits the task and situation best.
