In today's rapidly evolving world, some people believe that the main environment problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. But others peoples believe that there are more important environmental problems. Although, the loss of plants and animals species is a serious environmental problem.
Firstly, the biggest environmental problems is the extintion of the species of plants and animals. The loss of plants and animals species is a significant problem. They were sustainable loss of biodiversity. They also damage the ecosystem. In addition, they also affect human nature. For example, when a particular species become extinct, it can disturb the natural balance of an ecosystem because every plant and animal has a role in the food chain. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views—the loss of biodiversity versus other environmental problems—and presents a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains limited and repetitive. For instance, the first body paragraph repeatedly mentions that plant and animal loss damages ecosystems and the food chain without offering concrete examples or deeper extension. The position is stated, but the support lacks depth, meaning the discussion remains surface-level. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to fully elaborate on arguments with specific, well-reasoned details and clear explanations rather than restating the same point in different words.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a basic organizational structure with clear paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and inadequate cohesive devices. Transition words like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly' are used to signpost ideas, but connections within paragraphs are often weak or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift using 'While, vehicles left the green house gases...' Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical repetition of phrases like 'environmental problems' and 'health issues' prevents a smooth flow of ideas throughout the essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some topic-specific vocabulary such as 'biodiversity', 'ecosystem', and 'deforestation', but struggles with word choice, word form, and spelling errors. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include 'environment problem' instead of 'environmental problem', 'extintion', 'sustainable loss', and awkward collocations like 'the traffics on roads are increased' and 'vehicles left the green house gases'. These noticeable errors and repetitions restrict the lexical range and occasionally cause difficulty or strain for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside frequent faulty attempts at complex forms. There are persistent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the response, such as 'others peoples believe', 'when animals or plants were disappear', 'the pollution are probably rise', and 'the polluted air are also effect on human health'. Punctuation is also misused at times, such as the incorrect semicolon in 'such as; climate change'. These frequent errors frequently cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control over grammatical accuracy.
