Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that, the lost of habitat is the main problem nowadays whether there are other challanges that play substaintial role to distrub the enviorment. From my perspective, any problem that causes enviromental damage should never be ignore. The topic "envionmental protection" has been debated widely.

On the one hand, owing to loss of species can triggers domino effect that destabelizes the ecosystem. While, ecosystems rely on a delicate web of interactions where every organism has a specific job. If one piece is removed, the structural integrity of the entire system degrades. Government should impose protection rules for the survival of species to make ecosystem more beneficial.

On the other hand, ecosystem drastically affects by plastic and air polution, deforestation aand climate change. In recent years, development of new industries, certain emission and vehicle exhaust can causes million of deaths worldwide.Forests are cleared rapidly for agriculture, destroying wildlife habitats and releasing carbon.Rising global temperatures from greenhouse gases melt glaciers and cause extreme weather.

As a human being, we should not neglect this kind of disasters that are the major causes of Enviornmental damage. Enviornmental problems give rise to certain diseases that are life threathing all over the world.

I think, although the government should take action against challanges, there are certain responsibilities that every individual should do in term to protect ecosytem.

Through education system, environmental awarness can gives to the students that how would they save their enviorment. In my veiw, as an citizen we would focue in how to deal with these problem by generating certain notions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially, as the discussion of both views is somewhat limited and the position is not always clearly sustained throughout the essay. While the writer touches upon the loss of species and alternative environmental concerns such as pollution and deforestation, the ideas remain relatively undeveloped and lack sufficient support or specific examples. The conclusion attempts to present a personal opinion regarding individual responsibilities and educational awareness, but the arguments lack depth. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to explore both perspectives more thoroughly with extended explanations and clearly articulate a well-developed personal viewpoint from the introduction through to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some overall organization with recognizable paragraphing, but the progression of ideas is not always clear, leading to a somewhat disjointed feel. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes inaccurate, repetitive, or mechanically applied, such as the awkward transitions in 'On the one hand, owing to loss of species can triggers...' and 'While, ecosystems rely on...'. Referencing and logical linking between sentences can be indistinct at times, which disrupts the flow of the argument. To achieve a higher standard, the writer should ensure that each paragraph has a clear central topic, use a wider and more accurate range of cohesive links, and establish a smoother logical progression from one point to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message, featuring common terms related to the environment. However, there are noticeable spelling mistakes ('lost' instead of 'loss', 'challanges', 'substaintial', 'distrub', 'enviorment', 'destabelizes', 'polution', 'aand', 'threathing', 'awarness', 'veiw', 'focue') and word choice errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'domino effect' and 'structural integrity', inaccuracies in word formation and spelling constrain the lexical score. To improve, the writer must focus on accurate spelling, appropriate word forms, and refining collocations to express ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, containing frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of structural and agreement errors include 'owing to loss of species can triggers', 'ecosystem drastically affects by', 'vehicle exhaust can causes million of deaths', and 'environmental awarness can gives to the students'. Furthermore, punctuation and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. To reach the next level, the writer needs to demonstrate a greater variety of complex sentence forms with improved control over verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositional patterns.
