Student answer (Band 4.5)
in my opinion the main environmental proble is loss of particular species of plants and animals. because the set over enviorment into a cycle when we distrub any small change in the natural cycle the nature are distrub. as we know when nature is distrub the nature distrub us in the form of enviromental changes . all the species of animals are hunting other animals and they can servive, when a specie can end the cycle is ditrubed that is the reason of the environmental problem.
for example there are an aminal name lion, according to the research the lion no more 2000 in all over the world , as we know lion is carnivor whe they are end from the earth no any animal that hunts the other animals and the other animal like cows, zebra and many animal thats eat greenry counting is to much that cause they not eat proper meal because animal is more and the food is not enough. and the onter animal that is eat meat are dead due to hunger because some animals like fox,etc are eat meat but they don't hunt animal byself they eat that meat who don't eat lion. that's why the nture build the a perfect cycle for life.
on other side the plats has also same problem because some trees are grew very fast and in moonsoon that plants stops the flood problem when the that palnts end from the earth the flood problem is increase. instead of some species of plants all the plants pass the 7 8 years to growup to become a full tree, but the flood don'd wait for that plants when they become tree then flooded.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response makes an attempt to address the prompt by discussing the loss of species and mentioning other environmental problems such as floods, but it does so only minimally and tangentially. The position on the main environmental problem is stated at the beginning, but the ideas are limited and heavily under-developed throughout the text. For instance, the discussion regarding the lion population and the food chain is repetitive and lacks clear, logical progression or proper support. The mention of plant species and monsoon floods is similarly vague and poorly elaborated. While the prompt instructions were followed regarding content, the reasoning remains superficial, preventing the response from achieving a higher level of task completion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The information and ideas are not arranged in a coherent manner, lacking a clear overall progression. Although the text is divided into paragraphs, the internal structure of each paragraph is disjointed. Transitions between sentences and ideas are frequently abrupt or absent, such as the sudden shift from the lion example to the discussion of plants and monsoons without any linking device. Referencing is also problematic, with unclear pronouns like 'that' or 'they' making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of argument. Cohesive devices are minimal and mostly inadequate, resulting in a text that feels fragmented and difficult to follow consistently.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, employing a limited range of words that are frequently misused. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'proble', 'enviorment', 'distrub', 'servive', 'specie', 'aminal', 'carnivor', 'whe', 'thats', 'onter', 'nture', 'plats', 'grew', and 'moonsoon'. Word choices and collocations are often unnatural, for example 'counting is to much', 'eat greenry', and 'don't hunt animal byself'. These numerous lexical inaccuracies and spelling mistakes often strain the reader and obscure the intended meaning, which keeps the score at a modest level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, relying primarily on simple sentence structures with frequent attempts at complex sentences that turn out faulty. There are constant errors in verb forms and tenses, such as 'the lion no more 2000', 'when they are end', and 'the flood don'd wait'. Subject-verb agreement is frequently violated, as seen in 'the plats has also same problem' and 'some trees are grew'. Furthermore, punctuation is largely neglected, and capitalization at the beginning of sentences and for personal pronouns is inconsistent, meaning that errors are extremely frequent and persistently cause difficulty for the reader.
