Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe that the major environmental problems of particular time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals while others think there are more important environmental problems. This essay will discuss both perspectives and I believe that imapct of environmental problems cause more damage.
To begin with, supporters of the view argue that the major environmental problems of particular time is the cause the animals and other species become endangered. This is because climate change destroys natural habitats and human activities cause pollution and habitat loss. For example, in southern region of India places such as Andhra Pradesh and telengana facing problems like drought, floods and raising in tempurature and forestfires which changes the natural habatation of animals. Many animals cannot adapt quickly. For example, polar bears are affected by the melting of ice in artic circle due to raise in tempurature.
On the other hand, other believe that some species can adapt to environmental changes and conservation programmes can protect endangered species. This is because some animals can understand and change behaviour and move to new places for vegetation. They can survive in any conditions. Governments and organizations can create welfare and breeding programmes. Followed by some laws can reduce the deforestation and hunting the wildlife. Finally, I personally believe that the situations can be controlled by taking certain measures.
In conclusion, although the major environmental issues of particular time is the cause the animals and other species become endangered. Ibelieve that the issues can be resolved by taking proper measures by creating welfare and breeding programmes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state a personal position, so the response is relevant to the task. However, the discussion is only partial: the first view is supported with examples of habitat loss and polar bears, while the opposing view is presented mainly as a claim that species can adapt and conservation programmes can help. This does not explain what other environmental problems may be more important, such as pollution or climate change itself, and your opinion that environmental problems cause more damage is unclear. The conclusion repeats the idea of protective measures rather than resolving the comparison. Develop each side with a clear explanation and example, then state directly which problem you consider most serious and why.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The examples are generally placed with the relevant discussion, which helps the reader follow the topic. However, progression is limited because the second body paragraph shifts from the opposing view to conservation measures without clearly connecting these points to the claim that other environmental problems are more important. Linking phrases such as “Finally” and “In conclusion” are used, but the conclusion largely repeats earlier material rather than synthesising the two views. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph’s central point explicit and using references and transitions to show how each supporting idea relates to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “natural habitats,” “endangered,” “conservation programmes,” and “deforestation,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. For example, “raising in tempurature,” “natural habatation,” and “understand and change behaviour” are inaccurate or unclear expressions; “welfare programmes” is also not a natural choice for protecting wildlife. Repetition of “environmental problems,” “animals,” and “programmes” further restricts precision. Build a more accurate range of environmental terms and check spelling, word forms, and common collocations. More precise phrasing would make your arguments clearer without requiring unnecessarily complex vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure beginning “This is because,” and a contrast introduced by “although.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “the major environmental problems … is,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “the cause the animals … become endangered,” which has an incomplete grammatical construction. In “other believe,” the subject is missing a plural form, while “Ibelieve” also shows a spacing and punctuation problem. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete clause structures before adding more complexity. Proofreading sentence boundaries and spacing will also improve readability.
