Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowdays, environment problem have become a major concern worldwide. some people argued that main problems are being arisen due to the loss of the particular species of plants and animals. Other masses says not only this some more and important environmental problems. let's discuss both the views.

Commencing with the most prominent reason that extinction of plants and animals may disturb the whole eco systems because these are consider as the main food chain in environment. Moreover, humans are the main reason for cutting the trees and hunting animals in order to expand the places to build the bulidings and market place for their future devlopment. However, due to rising in the population individuals need more resources to fulfiling their needs. For instance, By deforestation environment face less oxygen(O2) and rise in CO2( carbon dioxide) as the result it may causes Air pollution.

On the other hand, There are several environment problems that may be more urgent in order to the most serious issues is global warming because of the burning fossil fuels increases the carbon dioxide emissions. Deforestation reduces the earth's ability to absorb carbon dioxide. In result the earth's average temprature continues to rise. For example, vehicles and factories release harmful gases into the environment.

To conclude, both are the valid arguments but government should take an intiative by promoting e-vehicles to reduce the air pollution. Furthermore, aware public to control the population and take the strict actions towards the hunters of animal which is illeageal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first body paragraph links species loss to food chains and human activity, while the second identifies global warming and emissions as other serious problems. Your conclusion also gives practical actions, so a position is present, but it is not fully clear which environmental problem you consider most important. Several points remain under-developed: for example, the effects of species loss on ecosystems are asserted rather than explained, and the discussion of global warming is brief. The response also falls two words short of the required 250-word minimum. To strengthen the answer, state your own comparative view directly and develop each main point with a clearer explanation or specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion reasonably easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” to show relationships between sections. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “Commencing with the most prominent reason” does not clearly identify which view is being discussed, and “In result” does not connect the preceding ideas naturally. The first body paragraph also moves from extinction to population growth and then air pollution without fully explaining the links. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant environmental vocabulary, including “extinction,” “food chain,” “deforestation,” “fossil fuels,” and “carbon dioxide emissions,” which helps communicate the topic. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “prominent reason” and “take the strict actions.” However, the range is uneven, and inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable. Phrases such as “Other masses says,” “more and important environmental problems,” and “aware public” are unclear or unnatural, while errors such as “Nowdays,” “bulidings,” and “temprature” reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations—for example, “other people argue that more serious problems exist”—and proofread spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “because of the burning fossil fuels” and a conditional-style explanation of environmental consequences. However, control is inconsistent, and attempts at longer structures often contain errors that make the relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “environment problem have become,” “these are consider,” and “it may causes,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. The sentence beginning “On the other hand” is also incomplete or awkwardly joined: “in order to the most serious issues is global warming.” Articles, plurals, and punctuation are not consistently controlled. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when their grammatical links are clear.
