Student answer (Band 4.5)

It is a big loss for our generation that we lost some particular species of plants and animals.

we need plantation to improve our environment if we plants more tree then we save species very easily.

Although, people cutting trees and forest areas are less then other areas like society and parks. which is useful but we need to spare some space for animals. if we can notice that tourtise are abandon now because beaches are full of people and people making hotels on beaches, people spread mess over there.

Moreover, some tiny plants which is helpful for many disease and its is called medical plants. some people are burn there area to build a building or resort in mountain areas. this is happen in this world right now. after 10 years a many species and animal are abandon in this world like tiger, elephants, reno, these are the animal which is very less in our world.

My opinion on this , that we have to save the species with growing more plants and trees, we need to understand that every land is not for build resort or building these are the part of environment and it is the most important things for the best environment.

For Example: A place which name is MUREE in Pakistan, its temperature is increasing season after season because they cut trees frequently, for animals and species its is the big problem they move other areas some are dead due to not suitable environment. and this is the very alarming situation for every one not only animals and species because we are living healthy with these environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear view that species should be protected, and you include relevant examples such as turtles affected by beach development and animals losing habitat in Murree. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the response focuses almost entirely on species loss. The alternative view—that other environmental problems, such as climate change, pollution or deforestation itself, may be more serious—is not explained or compared. Several claims, including that species will disappear “after 10 years,” are asserted without support. To develop the response, explain why some people prioritise species loss, then present and support a contrasting environmental concern before making a reasoned comparison and conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces species loss, gives examples, states an opinion and ends with the Murree example. Paragraph breaks also help separate some points. However, progression is difficult to follow because several ideas are crowded together, and the discussion does not clearly move through both sides of the question. Connectors such as “Although,” “Moreover” and “For Example” are used, but they do not always show the relationship between the ideas that follow. The final example appears after the opinion rather than being integrated into a clearly developed argument. Use distinct paragraphs for each viewpoint and your position, and make each paragraph’s opening sentence signal its purpose.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “species,” “environment,” “medical plants,” “resort” and “temperature,” so the reader can identify the subject. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “not suitable environment” and “alarming situation.” However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and noticeable word-choice and spelling errors sometimes make meaning harder to follow: “abandon” is used where “endangered” or “disappearing” is intended, while “reno” appears to mean “rhinoceros.” Phrases such as “people spread mess” and “big loss” are also unnatural in this context. Build a more accurate range for environmental issues and check spelling, word forms and collocations before using less familiar terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if we can notice that…” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors in sentence boundaries, verb forms, agreement and articles sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “if we plants more tree then we save species” has errors in subject–verb agreement, number and verb form; “people cutting trees” lacks a finite verb; and “this is happen” uses an incorrect verb form. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several sentences beginning in lowercase or joined by full stops in awkward places. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
