Student answer (Band 5.0)

Enviroment problems has increased a lot in recent past which has compelled people to think about different reasons of the problem. Some individuals believe that loss of particular species of plants and animal is the main enviromental problem of our time, while other argues that there are more crutial envirmomental problem than this. I completely agree that there are much more important enviromental issues than loss of species of plants and animal and I will share different perspective of people below.

On the one hand, some people are of the opinion that eradication of certain species of plants and animals has created lot of enviromental issues. They think that the air quality is depandent on growth of plants and animals. For example, some people believe the

On the other hand, there is an arguement that enviromental problems are dependant on various factors. The introduction of industrial states within the city is one of the key problem associated with nature. The hug of vehicle that transmit dangerous gas is another source of eniromental hazard. The increase in residential buildings and elimination of trees is another problem that has cause enviromental issues now a days.

In conclusion, For some people reduction of plants and animal has caused enviromental problems, whereas other are of the opinion that there are other activities happening in current days which are effecting the global climate change. I believe that to some extent loss of living species has impacted enviroment but there are far more bigger causing enviromental problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a clear overall opinion: “I completely agree” that other environmental issues are more important, and you include a paragraph for each view. However, the discussion is only partial because the first viewpoint is left unfinished: the example ends at “For example, some people believe the” and does not explain how species loss harms the environment. The second view names industrial sites, vehicle emissions and tree removal, but these points are listed rather than explained or supported with a relevant example. The conclusion restates your position, though “far more bigger causing environmental problems” does not clearly identify which problems are most significant. Develop each side with a cause-and-effect explanation and a specific example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the two positions. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph stops mid-example, while the second moves through several environmental concerns without showing how they connect or which is most important. The conclusion repeats the contrast rather than drawing the discussion together. Some linking is also mechanical, and the repeated “another” in the second body paragraph makes the list feel repetitive. Complete the example, group related causes, and use clear references and transitions to show how each point supports your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “loss of particular species,” “air quality,” “industrial states,” “dangerous gas,” and “global climate change.” This gives the reader a general sense of the subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to interpret, such as “Enviroment,” “crutial,” “eniromental,” and “hug of vehicle.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “industrial states within the city” and “far more bigger causing environmental problems.” Repeated use of “environmental problems” and “another problem” further limits variety. Aim for accurate topic collocations and precise terms, such as “industrial facilities,” “vehicle emissions,” and “habitat loss,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including a contrast structure in the introduction and a concluding sentence beginning “I believe that.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “Environmental problems has increased” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “other argues” and “the increase … is another problem … that has cause” also show problems with agreement and verb form. Articles and plurals are inconsistent in phrases such as “created lot of environmental issues” and “plants and animal.” The unfinished example also leaves a sentence incomplete. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and complete clauses; then vary sentence patterns while maintaining accuracy.
