Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people say that main environmenal problem of our time is the lossof particlular species of plants and animals. Others say there are more important environmental issues than loss of species of plants and animals.
Due to environmental changes the main loss is of species of plants and animals. Because some animals and plants species can important the the eco system of the region they belong too. Some animal can be one of the few food sources for other animal. If there food source is gone due to environmental changes. They to can go extinct or target other animals. However this can affect humans aswell. If there are humans near by the spieces of animal whose food source is meat can target farming animal. Other spieces can destory crop fleids.
They say there are other more important enviromental problems for examples rising sea levels. Change in climate which is affect crops. Causeing unpredictable weather many regions of of the world from shorter winters to floods. Affecting many third world developing countries with Pakistan among them.
My opinion is that the other issues than loss or extinction of species is the much larger issues sea level that can engulf parts land in the future. Climate changes which affect we are seeing now. Aslo feeling the loss of lifes.
In Conculsion, To prevent loss of speices of animals and plants is important . However to save human been and the planet as a whole is more important. Which in turn prevent all kind of enviromental issues including loss od spieces of plants and a.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state a preference for broader environmental threats, especially rising sea levels and climate change. The first body paragraph gives a relevant explanation of how species loss can disrupt food chains and affect farming, while the next identifies climate impacts and floods. However, the discussion remains limited and some points are unclear or insufficiently supported: for example, the link between species loss and animals targeting farm animals is asserted rather than explained, and the effects of sea-level rise are only briefly mentioned. Your position is clearest in the final body paragraph and conclusion, but the reasoning could be developed more consistently. Explain why the wider threats are more serious and support this comparison with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the main stages of your discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several ideas are presented as fragments rather than connected sentences, such as “Change in climate which is affect crops” and “Affecting many third world developing countries.” Linking is also repetitive, particularly through repeated use of “However,” and the relationship between some claims is unclear. The conclusion repeats the general preference but does not fully draw together the comparison. Use complete sentences, organise each paragraph around one main point, and connect examples explicitly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco system,” “food sources,” “rising sea levels,” “climate,” and “floods,” so the reader can identify the environmental issues being discussed. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and word-form errors make parts of the response harder to understand. Examples include “environmenal,” “particlular,” “spieces,” and “destory,” as well as imprecise phrases such as “the much larger issues sea level.” Some expressions are repeated, including “loss of species” and “environmental issues.” Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, use “species extinction,” “rising sea levels,” and “pose a greater threat” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If there are humans near by…” and a cause-and-effect explanation about food sources. However, many sentences contain grammatical errors, and some fragments make the intended relationships difficult to follow. For example, “Because some animals and plants species can important…” lacks a complete main clause, while “Change in climate which is affect crops” has an incorrect verb construction. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “Some animal can be one of the few food sources.” Practise building complete subject–verb sentences, then check verb forms and agreement. Use full stops to separate complete ideas rather than leaving dependent clauses on their own.
