Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's modern era , change in climate has become debatable subject among many groups of society. Many people argues that there are plenty of environmental difficulties occur due this change while a group of people believes that only a specific type of plants and animals has face significant problems due to change in environment. I strongly agree with former view as I believe agriculture land and people's health also affected because of it. In this essay I will provide justifications to support my statement.

To begin with, Agriculture is a back-bone of the society. To explain, numerous community's life is mainly depends on agriculture land and the change in seasons has caused a lot of problems to it's products. some seasonal vegetables and fruits has been harvest premature or rotten earlier than it suppose to because of unpredicted climate. For example, mangos are mainly a summer fruit so it only comes in that particular season but sometimes due to extreme rain it fall off from tree automatically or it premature early due to excessive heat and it affects both farmers and consumers. Therefore, These is also an important problems happens due to environmental change.

Another key factor is that people's health has been compromised. To elaborate, more people are getting viral infection if we compare it with older ear. The specific time of seasonal change is unpredicted and sometime in peak summer there is a rainfall or in extreme winter people feel heat-waves which led to cause some serious health issue and people have to book a doctor's appointment as they fell ill because of it I think it is more serious then loss of particular species.

On the other hand, specific type plants and animals also vanishes but researchers are already working on it's causes and solutions. The scientist has come up with the idea of greenhouse to maintain specific temperature and moisture level just so that the plant can grow and for animal habitant such as Vantara's initial aim is to take care of animals.

In conclusion, although a certain type of animal and plants are getting affected because of atmosphere change I believe there are more important environmental problems. This is primarily because our backbone which is agriculture is also getting affected along with people are also getting more sick then usual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and make your position clear: you argue that environmental problems affecting agriculture and human health are more important than the loss of particular species. The examples about mango crops and illness make your reasons relevant. However, the discussion of species loss is brief and does not explain why it matters or why the proposed responses are effective; the greenhouse and Vantara examples are asserted rather than connected clearly to conservation outcomes. Some claims about climate change and health are also broad, such as saying seasonal changes cause more viral infections, without supporting explanation. Develop both sides more evenly, clarify the link between climate change and each example, and explain why your chosen problems should take priority.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs supporting your view, a paragraph presenting the other view, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Another key factor,” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the argument, and your conclusion returns to your main position. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, links between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “Therefore, These is also an important problems” does not clearly follow from the mango example, and the final paragraph’s “although” construction is awkwardly connected to its main claim. Use transitions to show precise relationships, and make each paragraph’s central point and supporting explanation more tightly connected.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “agriculture,” “premature,” “excessive heat,” “viral infection,” and “greenhouse,” so the reader can understand the main subject and your examples. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “back-bone of the society” and “compromised.” However, word choice and collocation errors are noticeable and sometimes make ideas less clear: “change in climate” is repeated where “climate change” would be more natural, “animal habitant” is inaccurate, and “older ear” appears to be an incorrect word choice. Spelling and word forms also need attention, including “vanishes” for species that are disappearing. Build accuracy by learning common environmental collocations and checking each word’s meaning and form in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses and the contrast in “although a certain type of animal and plants are getting affected.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main argument is generally understandable. However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “Many people argues,” “life is mainly depends,” and “some seasonal vegetables and fruits has been harvest”; these should be revised for subject–verb agreement and correct verb patterns. The long health sentence also joins several ideas without clear punctuation, making its structure difficult to follow. Practise accurate clause construction and proofread for agreement, tense, articles, and sentence boundaries while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
