Student answer (Band 6.0)
Environment challenges have become a global concern. Although some people think that the major environmental problem of present times is the disappearance of flora and fauna, I believe that there are other crucial envrionmental degradations.
One the one hand, those who support the viewpoint that endanger spices is significant issue of environment believe this because of deforestation. That is to say, the constant distuction of forests has disappeared a number of species of the flora on the earth due to which the fauna became homeless. Morover, the most of the spices loss habitate to survive and died. As a result, it has detrimental impact on the eco-system and nature.
On the other hand, opponents argue that carbon emission is a pivotal environmental problem. They claim that the smoke of vehicles and industries has been polluting the air quality in long run, which cause deadly diseases like asthma, allergies, lungs cancer among people. In addition, the waste of factories which is mixed in the water cause harm to the marine life and reduce the amount of potable water.
In my opinion, while the loss of biodiversity is a major environmrnt challenge, pollution, green house affect and global warming should be address too. This is due to fact that it has been observe that the temperature of the earth has been increasing continuously which lead to green house affect and have bad impact on the habitate,
To conclude, even though some people suuport the veiwpoint of loss of particular species, I believe that other envrionmental problems have extreme affect on the eco-system of the earth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear overall position: biodiversity loss matters, but other environmental problems are also important. The first body paragraph links species loss to deforestation and habitat destruction, while the second discusses air and water pollution, so the response stays relevant to the question. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. For example, the effects of pollution are illustrated with diseases and harm to marine life, but the discussion of species loss mostly repeats the consequences of deforestation without explaining why this is the main problem for its supporters. Your opinion also introduces greenhouse effects and global warming late in the essay, with little explanation of how they compare with biodiversity loss. Develop these points with clearer reasoning or a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” makes the progression easy to follow, and the pollution paragraph groups related effects together. This meets the lower-band expectation for clear organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, links are occasionally mechanical, and some references are unclear. In “due to which the fauna became homeless,” the connection between forest destruction and the result is awkward; “As a result” then repeats the cause-and-effect link. The opinion paragraph also ends abruptly, leaving its final point unfinished. Use more precise links and ensure each paragraph develops one complete line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant environmental vocabulary, including “flora and fauna,” “deforestation,” “carbon emission,” “marine life,” and “eco-system,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “pivotal environmental problem” and “detrimental impact.” This gives you enough topic-related language to communicate the main ideas. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision and sometimes make the reader pause: “spices” is used for “species,” “habitate” for “habitat,” and “green house affect” for “greenhouse effect.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “polluting the air quality” and “amount of potable water.” Aim to learn environmental terms in accurate phrases and check spelling carefully; this will make your vocabulary more reliable and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction (“Although some people think…”) and a relative clause in the pollution paragraph (“which cause deadly diseases…”). Most of the main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include the missing article in “One the one hand,” the subject–verb mismatch in “which cause,” and the incomplete construction “the most of the spices loss habitate to survive and died.” The final opinion paragraph also contains a sentence that is not completed grammatically, ending with “habitate,” followed by a comma. Work on articles, agreement, and complete sentence boundaries, and revise complex sentences to ensure their clauses fit together correctly.
