Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You identify the topic of species loss and mention deforestation and other environmental concerns, so the response is connected to the question. However, it does not clearly explain both viewpoints or give a definite personal opinion. The phrase “there are some other issues” introduces the opposing view, but no specific alternative problem is explained, and the discussion of cutting trees for wood does not establish how it compares with species loss. The response also ends mid-sentence at “the dangerous,” leaving the argument incomplete. The required minimum length is not met, which substantially limits how fully you can develop reasons and examples. To improve, state your position clearly and explain each view with a relevant example and consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0
There is a basic attempt to connect ideas: “whereas” signals a contrast, and “for instance” introduces an example. These links show some awareness of how to organise an argument. However, the response is essentially one continuous, unfinished sequence, with no clear paragraph structure or progression from one viewpoint to the other and then to your opinion. The sentence beginning “the main reason behind this is loss…” combines several ideas without making their relationships clear, and “also” does not clearly indicate what it refers to. The final phrase is incomplete, so the reader cannot follow the conclusion. Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your position, and make each paragraph develop one main point in a clear order.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “particular species,” “deforestation,” “financial stability,” and “commercial values.” This gives the response some relevant range beyond very basic wording. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural in context: “saling the wood” and “maximum retail prize” do not express the intended meaning clearly, while “higher commercial values” is vague. “Recent times” and “higher rate of factories” are also imprecise ways to describe current environmental pressures. The explanation of M.R.P. distracts from the environmental argument rather than adding useful detail. Aim for precise environmental collocations, such as “habitat destruction,” “species extinction,” and “industrial pollution,” and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to form a longer sentence using “whereas,” and you use some basic structures to introduce examples and add information. This shows an effort to connect clauses rather than relying only on short statements. However, the response contains a run-on sequence with unclear clause boundaries, especially from “the main reason behind this is loss…” onward. The final construction, “due to higher rate of factories the dangerous,” is incomplete and lacks a clear grammatical relationship between its parts. Punctuation is also insufficient to separate the ideas, and the sentence structure does not consistently make the intended meaning clear. Practise writing complete sentences with one main idea each, checking that every clause has a subject and verb, and use full stops to mark boundaries.
