Student answer (Band 5.5)
As far as this topic is concerned, I would like to say that the impact of environmental problems which has always been debateable and now has become cntroversial with many people saying that the extinct of some plants and animals species are the major problems while other reject this notion. The substantial influence of this trend has spark a controversy over potential impact in recent years. In my opinion, the former proposition appears to be more rational. This essay will further elaborate my views for positive and negative impact of environmental problems and thus will lead to a logical conclusion.
Analyzing the statement and explaining the futhermore,on one hand some people say that the major environmental problem is the loss of some plants and animals. This is due to lack of education and awareness. As a result people hunt unnecessarily to the animals and also deforestration.
But on the other hand there are also more important issues. For instance, rapidly spreading pollution, deplition of ozone layer and global warming are some of these isuues, that require much of our attention to save the remaining species of plants and animals.
Moving forward, it is pertinent to mention that it is the basic duty of the government to provide safe and stable environmnment to animals as well as plants for their better growth. Also, it is imperative for the authorities concerned to look into the factors behind the loss of species like loss of habitat or starvation, and take drastic actions where necessary.
To encapsulate, in my opinion although the loss of some species is the biggest loss that can never be repaired but there are also some big environmental issue that requires attention. So, i would like to appeal to the learned authorities to come forward, focus their gaze at this issue and launch a vigorous compaign to reform it acroos the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views: the first body paragraph links species loss to hunting and deforestation, while the next identifies pollution, ozone depletion and global warming as wider concerns. Your conclusion also gives a position, favouring the seriousness of species loss while acknowledging other problems. However, the position is not fully consistent: the introduction calls the first view more rational, but the body does not clearly explain why, and the conclusion says species loss is the “biggest loss” while also stressing other issues. Ideas such as the effects of pollution and the consequences of extinction are named rather than explained with specific reasoning or examples. Develop each side with a clear cause-and-effect explanation, then state precisely how you weigh the problems.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two contrasting points, a paragraph on government action and a conclusion. Transitions such as “on one hand,” “on the other hand” and “To encapsulate” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear: “Analyzing the statement and explaining the futhermore” does not form a clear transition, and the opening paragraph repeats general claims about controversy without advancing the argument. The government paragraph introduces solutions but is not clearly connected to the comparison of which environmental problem is most important. Improve progression by giving each paragraph one clear purpose and using references that show how each point supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “depletion of ozone layer,” “loss of habitat,” “stable environment” and “drastic actions.” These choices show awareness of the subject, but inaccurate spelling, word forms and collocations are frequent enough to make the writing less precise; examples include “cntroversial,” “extinct of,” “deplition” and “compaign.” Some phrases are also unnatural or vague, such as “the substantial influence of this trend has spark a controversy” and “focus their gaze at this issue.” Choose direct, accurate expressions rather than ornate wording, and check spelling and collocation carefully. For instance, use “extinction of species” and “has sparked controversy” to express the intended ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “although the loss of some species is the biggest loss…” and a relative clause in “issues, that require much of our attention.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the impact … which has always been debateable” has an unclear grammatical relationship, while “the substantial influence … has spark” uses an incorrect verb form. The final sentence also combines several requests in a way that is difficult to control. Build accuracy with shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check that subjects and verbs agree.
