Student answer (Band 5.5)
Environmental problem have become the major concern around the world but on other hand some people believe that the loss of particular species of plants and animals is the main problem . In my opnion both are very important for the biodiversity , both plays an important role in our environment.
On the other hand the extinction of both the species can be harmful for the environment such as a cutting trees can cause a polluted environment , also from where can stray animals take food. Same for the animals , for example if buffalos can be extincted the chain of specie can be disturbed also agricultural product can be harmed. As the populaton is increasing day by day the requirements is also increases animals mostly gave us the food and a healthier life in many ways ,Same for the plants and trees we can breathe smoothly in a eco friendly environment.
In my opnion both are very important we have to protect both natural and wild life . by making a possible better consequences .climate change and pollution are more urgent environmental challenges because they can affect entire populations and contribute to the destruction of natural habitats. However, the loss of species is also closely connected to these issues, as pollution and climate change can drive animals and plants towards extinction . we have to protect them to have a better life ahead .
in conclusion both of the issues animals and environment consequences have a mojor concern and we have to focus on it and work on it by giving our opnions and ideas to the government. Addressing these problems together is essential for protecting both human life and the natural world.although the extinction of plants and animals is a serious concern, I believe that climate change and pollution present broader and more immediate challenges

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both the loss of species and wider environmental problems, and your final view—that climate change and pollution are broader, more immediate challenges—is identifiable. The response also makes relevant links, such as pollution and climate change damaging habitats and contributing to extinction. However, the discussion of species loss is not always clear or well supported: the example about buffaloes disrupting the “chain of specie” and harming agricultural products needs explanation. The other view is developed mainly through brief references to climate change and pollution, without a specific example or clear comparison of their effects. To strengthen the response, explain each view with a precise example and maintain your chosen position consistently from the introduction through the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some paragraphing, and the response moves from an introduction to discussion, a stated opinion and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “On the other hand,” “for example” and “In conclusion” help signal the intended structure. However, progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph combines tree cutting, stray animals, buffaloes, population growth and food without showing how each point connects. The opinion paragraph also begins with protection of wildlife, shifts to climate change and pollution, and then returns to protecting species. Some transitions are inaccurate or repetitive, and the conclusion repeats ideas rather than drawing them together clearly. Organise the essay into distinct paragraphs for each view and your opinion, and use references and linking phrases that make the relationships between points explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant environmental vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “extinction,” “natural habitats,” “climate change” and “pollution,” which helps communicate the topic. There are also attempts to use more specific terms, such as “agricultural product.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear: “chain of specie,” “extincted,” “a polluted environment” in the context of cutting trees, and “better consequences” are examples. Spelling errors such as “opnion,” “populaton” and “mojor” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of accurate environmental collocations and check spelling and word forms; for example, use “food chain,” “become extinct” and “positive outcomes” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example (“if buffalos can be extincted…”) and a clause explaining that environmental problems “can affect entire populations.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries occur throughout. Examples include “Environmental problem have,” “both plays,” “the requirements is also increases,” and the run-on transition from “better life ahead” into the next sentence. Capitalisation and punctuation are also unreliable, particularly where sentences begin with lowercase letters or clauses are joined without clear punctuation. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries first, then build complex sentences around one clear main idea.
