Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few indivuals consider decline in animals and plants species is the pressing environmental concern. while other think that there are many other major environmental cocerns which are worth noticeable. I am partially agreed with both opinions because both plant and animals species along with air, water and land are important for ecosystem balance.
On the one hand, Some important plants and animal species are suddenly vanishes from environment. Many plant species control pests and weeds, so they do not destroy natural crops. They also provide shelter to many animal and birds species. Plants provide food to many living organisms. Plants also capture harmful preys that destroy other plants. Animals are also food source for many species, they provide valuable products such as medicines milk and meat. But they are under threat due to changing environmental conditions. For instance, many plants cannot grow due to increased temperature and less precipitation.
Which consequently leads into death of many animals because they are deprived of foodwhich is essential for their survival.
On the other hand, some indivuals say that other problem like climate change, global warming and pollution are major concern of environment. Climate change and global warming are very eye catching problems, because they effect our life directly by impacting our agricultural systems. The survival of many species icluding plants and animls become very difficult due to increased temperature. Many animals and plants are died due of pollution because it effect their health directly. Environmental problems are constantly increasing which threats the overall balance of life on earth.
In conclusion, i would suggest that it is the resposibility government and other organizations to adress local public about their responsibility that how they contribute to overcome these challenges.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views: the first body paragraph explains why species loss matters, while the second discusses climate change, global warming and pollution. Your opening also signals a position by saying you are “partially agreed with both opinions.” However, the position is not fully clarified or carried through: the conclusion shifts to government responsibility rather than stating which environmental problem you consider more important or how the two views compare. Several supporting points are relevant, such as species’ roles in providing food and shelter, but some claims are unclear or insufficiently explained, and the examples remain general. Develop a direct comparison and explain one or two examples in more detail to make your response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the discussion, and the ideas about species’ roles are grouped together. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the sentence beginning “Which consequently leads…” is detached from the preceding point, and several short statements repeat the same idea about plants and animals. The conclusion introduces a recommendation without clearly linking it to the comparison in the essay. Use clearer links between cause and effect, avoid sentence fragments, and make each paragraph build towards the stated opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant environmental vocabulary, including “ecosystem balance,” “precipitation,” “pollution,” and “agricultural systems,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response less clear. Examples include “environmental cocerns,” “worth noticeable,” “capture harmful preys,” and “eye catching problems”; these are not natural or precise expressions in context. Spelling errors such as “indivuals,” “icluding,” and “resposibility” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for species decline and environmental impacts would help you express your ideas without relying on repeated general words such as “problem” and “important.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use cause-and-effect structures, for example, “many animals cannot grow due to increased temperature and less precipitation.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. Examples include “decline in animals and plants species is,” “species … suddenly vanishes,” and “many animals and plants are died.” The fragment “Which consequently leads…” also leaves a sentence incomplete, while missing spaces and punctuation make some sentences harder to read. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries during revision.
