Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some individual's belive that the main ecosystem problem of recent times is the loss of different types of plants and animals. But some people say there are other important problem.I believe that both the views should be considered because plant, animals and other environmental problems is the part of the same ecosystem.

In the one hand,The wild life have been decreased recently over the years because of the growth in the population of human beings, for example people destroy the home of animals and do deforstation and live happily in the mansions. The general populace should start the awarness schemes to educate the people that we are about to loss the species of plant and animal. We should form new communities for such things.

On the other hand,We have different kinds of pollution made by humans itself called as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, etc. This will lead to higher AQI and contaminated drinking water and golbal warming. The fist and foremost thing to do is preserving the underground water but in most area's it has been dried. For example in my apartment we don't have underground water because it has been dried.we can take measures like making electrical cars over the petrol,CNG and diesel cars that can cause less pollution making metro rails everywhere for public transport and while constructing a house we should have rain water harvesting pits.

In conclusion,Both of the problems are connented to each other in an environment.so,both the matters should be taken seriously and should start taking precaution as soon as possible to save the environmental issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: the first body paragraph discusses species loss, while the second considers pollution, water scarcity and global warming. Your conclusion also gives a clear general position that the problems are connected and both deserve attention. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The explanation of species loss focuses mainly on habitat destruction, and the claim that people should create awareness schemes and communities is not explained in detail. The second view includes several possible measures, but the response does not clearly compare their importance with species loss. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each problem and develop a specific example or reason for your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the main contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from habitat destruction to awareness schemes without clearly connecting the proposed solution to the problem. Linking phrases such as “for example” are used, but some connections are abrupt, and the conclusion repeats the idea that both issues are connected rather than drawing together the main reasons. Use clearer topic sentences and make each example explicitly support the point before moving to the next idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant environmental vocabulary, including “species,” “deforestation,” “contaminated drinking water,” “global warming” and “public transport.” These terms show an attempt to discuss the topic specifically. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make meaning less clear. For example, “the wild life have been decreased” is not a natural way to describe declining animal populations, and “save the environmental issues” does not express the intended idea. Spelling errors such as “belive,” “awarness” and “golbal” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason-and-example structure beginning “because of the growth in the population” and a list of practical measures. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include subject–verb disagreement in “The wild life have been decreased” and “both the views should be considered because plant, animals and other environmental problems is the part.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, particularly where a new sentence follows a full stop without a space or begins with a capital letter after a comma. Practise agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for one clear subject and verb.
