Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few individuals opine that the main environmental cause of our duration is the degradation of particular species of plants and animals, whereas others posulate that there are more vital environmental causes, so in the forthcoming paragraphs, I have discussed both the views and included my opinion at the end.
On the one hand, the use of different plants and animals in healthcare products. They benefit the authorities and individuals for making medicines of disease like common cold, flu, dengue and aids. For instance, animals and plants are very easily available in forest for hunting and making the medicines from their teeth, fruits, herbs from sending them into laboratory and in pharma entities.
On the other hand, environmental problems like increase air pollution is more essential. Nowadays, air pollution increase because of lots of petroleum vehicles and industrial smoke. For example, every individuals have their own vehicle because of that lots of residents use their private vehicles rather than public vehicles for reaching to their work or study and also lots of industries release their smoke and gas in air which contains toxic gas like carbon monoxide, sulphure dioxide and carbon dioxide.
In my opinion, the increase in water pollution is also cosiderable important environmental causes. Individuals and commercial entities release their waste like toxic chemicals, sewage in rivers and in lake. For instance, commercial entities release their toxic waste and materials which make of nitrogen, ddt and sulphur. These material and waste produce while making any product or chemicals. Individuals throw their food and waste product in rivers.
To conclude, various species of plants and animals use in healthcare products but the most vital problem of current day is increasing the air pollution.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views by discussing species and pollution, and you give a personal opinion that water pollution is important. However, the response only partially fulfils the task because the first view is not clearly explained as a problem: the paragraph focuses on how plants and animals are used to make medicines, rather than why losing species is environmentally serious. Your final sentence then identifies air pollution as the most vital problem, which does not clearly match your stated opinion about water pollution. Examples such as vehicle emissions and waste entering rivers are relevant, but their significance is not developed. Explain the consequences of species loss and make your position consistent from the introduction through the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, an opinion paragraph and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “To conclude” help readers follow the broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from healthcare benefits to hunting and laboratory production without establishing the link to species loss. The opinion paragraph also introduces water pollution, while the conclusion shifts to air pollution, weakening the overall line of argument. Some connections are mechanical or imprecise. Build each paragraph around one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it, and use the conclusion to restate the same position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “air pollution,” “toxic chemicals,” “industrial smoke” and “private vehicles,” which makes the subject understandable. There are also attempts at more specific terms, such as “carbon monoxide” and “commercial entities.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret. “Environmental cause” is used where “environmental problem” is intended, and “degradation of particular species” does not clearly express species loss. Spelling errors such as “posulate,” “cosiderable” and “sulphure” are noticeable. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling; for example, describe species as “becoming extinct” and pollution as “increasing” or “worsening.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” However, control is uneven, and several sentences contain errors that make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. The opening body sentence, “On the one hand, the use of different plants and animals in healthcare products,” is a fragment. Other examples include “air pollution increase” and “every individuals have,” where the verb form and subject agreement are faulty. The sentence beginning “For instance, animals and plants are very easily available…” also has an unclear, poorly controlled structure. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles and verb forms when revising.
