Student answer (Band 5.0)
most of the people says that the main atmosphere challenge of our time is the loss of specific species of plants and animals, but other people say that these are the more important environmental problem. in my opinion ,the main reason of environmental is logging of forest land.
nowadays, the plant is play a very significant role in our life and environment. Environment completely depend upon the plant. the main reason of flooding is the logging of trees, for example a few year ago the main reason of nepal flooding is low producing of trees. low amount of producing trees, as a result, rain fails also decrease. air and water pollution directly effect the eco system. further, global warming and increase the temperature lead toward the flooding these problem effect million of people and economy of the country.
second main effect the ,hunting of the animal directly effect the environment , because many animal play a important role to maintaining the balance of ecosystem. For example, many animal become died, it can disturbed the food chain and negatively effect the other living animals. when any animal died in forest, they discharge the harmful gases, these gasses negatively effect the other living animals. government should take a necessary step to protect the animal to make some policies.
most of the problem arise due to plant and species. every year government take a necessary step to stop the global warming and flooding. these are the reason they are necessary effect the human and animal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a relevant opinion that forest logging is a major environmental problem, and you mention both habitat loss and animal hunting. However, the task asks you to discuss the view that species loss is the main problem and the opposing view that other environmental problems are more important. These positions are not clearly explained as two distinct views: most of the response focuses on logging, flooding and pollution, while the case for species loss is brief and partly unclear. Examples such as Nepal’s flooding and disruption to the food chain are relevant, but their explanations are difficult to follow or insufficiently developed. State each viewpoint clearly, then explain and support your own position with a more precise example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some paragraphing, and the response moves from forest loss to animal hunting before ending with a general conclusion. Basic links such as “for example,” “because” and “as a result” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow: the opening does not clearly introduce both sides, and the final paragraph repeats that environmental problems affect people and animals without resolving the discussion. Connections within sentences are also sometimes unclear, as in “low amount of producing trees, as a result, rain fails also decrease.” Organise the essay into a clear introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion, using references and linking phrases only where their relationship is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “species,” “ecosystem,” “food chain,” “pollution” and “global warming,” so the reader can identify the environmental subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations make meaning unclear. For example, “main atmosphere challenge,” “low producing of trees” and “they discharge the harmful gases” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “effect” is also repeatedly used where a more precise verb is needed. These are vocabulary and collocation issues rather than grammar problems. Build a bank of accurate environmental phrases and check whether each verb fits its subject and meaning. More precise wording would make your examples easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences using clauses with “because,” “when” and “for example,” but the range is limited and these structures are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “most of the people says,” “the plant is play” and “many animal become died.” Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “a important role” and the run-on sequence beginning “these problem effect million of people.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to understand, although the general topic remains identifiable. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation when editing.
