Student answer (Band 4.5)
Few people believe that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important enviromental problems. I partially agree with this. This essay will discuss the importance of particular species like plants and animals. Plants and animals are helpful for people health because plants play a very important role in the breathing system.
First and foremost it is clear that the particular species was used for the demonstration of the environmental problems. Furthermore, in the past every house has its own animals and many plants are also planted in the houses and on the sides of the road. For example, when people use pure and healthy milk and breathe in healthy air they always be healthy. Furthermore, people almost use the meat of their pets like goat and sheep and it is better way to use healthy and unhygienic meat.
On the other hand it is also compulsory that the we also take action against the other environmental problem sources like air and noise pollution. For air and noise pollution we decrease the use of motorcycle and vehicles. For example, many developed countries use electric vehicles and bikes like America and China. We also need to overcome on the industries that are developed in the residential state. For example, industries may be establish at the industries state like Pakistan also has many industrial state in each city.
In conclusion, the environmental problems are harmful for stomach and heart diseases. So, we need to do planning on this at government base and local base.
Need to planted more plants in houses and also planted them on the side of footpaths.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You introduce both views and state, “I partially agree,” then include a paragraph on species and another on pollution, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion only partially addresses the task: the reasons why species loss is a major environmental problem are not clearly explained, and the examples about household animals, milk and meat do not establish how biodiversity loss affects the environment. The alternative problems are named, but their importance is also asserted rather than developed. Your opinion is not made clear beyond the brief statement of partial agreement, and the conclusion shifts to health effects and planting rather than resolving the comparison. Explain each view with a relevant environmental cause-and-effect example and state which you consider more serious.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “First and foremost” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion, giving it a recognisable overall structure. The reader can identify the broad shift from species to pollution. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the discussion moves from species to houses, milk, breathing and meat without showing how these points connect to species loss. Linking phrases such as “Furthermore” are repeated and do not always clarify the relationship between ideas. The final sentence beginning “Need to planted” is detached from the conclusion and interrupts the ending. Group related points, use references that make connections explicit, and ensure each paragraph develops one central argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “species,” “environmental problems,” “air and noise pollution,” and “electric vehicles,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “demonstration of the environmental problems,” “healthy and unhygienic meat,” and “overcome on the industries.” There are also spelling and form errors, including “enviromental” and “industrial state.” These issues sometimes make the reader work to understand your intended point. Build a more precise set of environmental terms and check that verbs and nouns combine naturally; for example, explain “habitat destruction” or “species extinction” rather than relying on general references to problems.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional-style example beginning “when people use…” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but control is uneven, especially in longer sentences. Examples include “the particular species was used,” “every house has its own animals,” and “people … they always be healthy,” where tense, agreement or verb forms are faulty. Articles and sentence construction also cause problems in “it is also compulsory that the we also take action.” The final fragment, “Need to planted more plants,” is not a complete grammatical sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms and complete sentence patterns, then proofread longer sentences for clarity.
