Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many residents believe that animals and plants specific species loss is the vital environmental issue in present. Others say it has great significance. This essay will examine the both perspectives including climate change beneficial and detrimental effects.
On the one hand, it is the major factor in present that the particular species dying due to numerous factors of environmental problems. Nowadays, the wearer is not pure as there are many poisonous gas in the air which leads to the destruction of wildlife. Mostly the degradation of factories is thrown into the rivers that flow towards forests then the smelly garbage of industries turn the rivers pure water into polluted H2O. Such activities of humans causing suffocation to animals and plants special kinds such as; dolphins, polar bears and money plants. Moreover, the human beings promoting numerous factors of unusual activities like fireworks, hunting and smoking which makes the environment out of control( global warming). Then, it leads to the death of birds ( raven and butterflies), animals (sharks and Houbara bustards) and plants ( rose and vegetables). For instance, the species of dolphins are becoming endangered as even the ocean water is not clean enough today whenever such species feel difficulty while breathing it came upon the surface and in doing so often died.
On the other hand, there are also many significant factors of climate change that the bodies of every species are becoming stronger while fighting with such problems. It also divided the weather system into four different seasons as the climate change make the animals to cope with it and search food for survival in this order it makes them particular species. For example, environmental change promote or produces many varieties vegetables, fruits and flowers which identifies its natural characteristics as all species depend on it for survival.
To conclude, the environment problem is the main reason of extinction in the animal and plants species and humans are the promoters of this task. We should cut down such activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic of species loss and include examples such as dolphins, polar bears and pollution, so the first view is recognisable. However, the task asks you to discuss the view that other environmental problems are more important, and this side is not clearly explained: the paragraph instead presents climate change as beneficial, claiming it makes species stronger and creates seasons and varieties of plants. Your own position is also difficult to identify until the conclusion, which focuses on extinction without comparing its importance with other problems. Develop a clear argument about which environmental issue is more serious, and support both views with relevant, accurate explanations and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader some guidance. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the second body paragraph does not clearly develop the opposing view in the question, and several sentences combine unrelated points. For example, the claim that climate change divides weather into four seasons is followed by an unclear link to species becoming particular. Some linking expressions, such as “Moreover” and “For instance,” are used, but connections between claims are often weak. Organise each paragraph around one clear argument and explain how each example supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “degradation,” “polluted,” “endangered,” “extinction” and “survival,” and you name several species. This shows some range beyond very basic language. However, inaccurate word choice and collocations often make the meaning unclear, as in “the wearer is not pure,” “the degradation of factories is thrown into the rivers,” and “smelly garbage … turn the rivers pure water.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “particular species” where you mean species loss or extinction. Choose familiar, accurate environmental terms and check that each word fits its context. More precise phrasing would make your ideas easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “which” and “while,” and the response is generally recognisable as an essay. However, attempts at complex sentences are often faulty, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “Such activities of humans causing suffocation,” where the verb form is incomplete, and “whenever such species feel difficulty while breathing it came upon the surface,” where tense and clause structure are confused. There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “there are many poisonous gas” and “the climate change make.” Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses and punctuation.
