Student answer (Band 5.0)
in reccent years some people arugue that the primary environmental issue is the loss of specific species of planets and animals. While, others belive that there are countless significant environmental problems. This essay will examin both perspectives and explain why I think that disapearance of various plants and animlals, addtionally to other reason contribute to biodiversity balance.
On the one the one hand, in current decades, the majority of people consider that main reason why our planet faces one of the most fundmental issue which is the biodiversity balance is due automatically to disapearance of several species of plants and trees wich provide 30% of the oxygen we breath. Another reasn is the random hunting of animals, people do not respect hunting season and the animlas profelitation
on the other hand, others, argue that the major problem that we encounter in recent decades is the global warming which threats dramatically our existance on the earth, the global warming consists in increasing on greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methan. This latter is due to unethical human acivities, for example, logging of trees in forest in the worldwide such as Amazone forset. Another significant issue is the climit change our planet has seen a huge rising of tempretures, consequently, we have seen the melting of the ice and the rise of sea level.
To sum up, our planet still faces the most important issue which is the evironmental problem is due to various reason such as loss of particular species of plants and animals. Additionally, The global warming remain the fundamental factor.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views: the first body paragraph discusses species loss and hunting, while the second identifies global warming and climate change as wider concerns. You also attempt to give your own position, but it is not consistently clear. The introduction says species loss, alongside other reasons, affects biodiversity, whereas the conclusion calls both species loss and global warming fundamental without explaining which view you support or how they relate. Several ideas are introduced but not adequately explained: for example, the claim that plants provide 30% of oxygen is not connected clearly to the consequences of species loss, and the point about hunting is left unfinished. Develop each view with a clear example and state a direct, consistent opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion, so the reader can recognise the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are mechanical or unclear. The opening phrase “On the one the one hand” is repeated, while “Another reasn” and “Another significant issue” introduce points without fully showing how they connect to the main argument. The first body paragraph ends abruptly after the reference to hunting, and the conclusion repeats the topic rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer topic sentences, complete each supporting point, and make the relationship between species loss, global warming, and your opinion explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-specific vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “greenhouse gases,” “carbon dioxide,” “logging,” and “melting of the ice.” These choices show some awareness of the environmental topic. However, the range is limited and frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow, as in “planets” for plants, “animlas profelitation,” and “climit change.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “the global warming consists in increasing on greenhouse gases” and “the rise of sea level.” Aim to use accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, explain that greenhouse-gas emissions increase, and that rising temperatures cause ice to melt and sea levels to rise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “While” and a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “consequently.” However, the range is limited, and complex constructions are often faulty, which can make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include “While, others believe…” as a sentence fragment, “the main reason … is … is due,” and “the global warming consists in increasing.” There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “the global warming remain” and the long sentence beginning “Another significant issue is the climate change.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses accurately; check verb agreement and punctuation when editing.
