Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent times, it is obseverd that there are different types of challenges are identifying in the world such as war, inflation, political hypocrisy. Among all of them environmental issue is one of the vital problems. Loss of particular species of plants and animals is a result of environmental challenge which has an adverse impact in the society and as well as in the biodiversity.
Nowadays, Climate change is a global issue for all of the countries. This is the main reason for creating the unstable environment for survival. I totally agree with the fact that plants and animals are dying rapidly than our expectations due to the drastic change of the climate. The temperature is getting warmer or lower a lot in recent years. High temperatue causes of forest fires as a result a large area of forest loses it plants and animals. Australia is experiencing this every year.
Besides this, sea level rise is another big impact of environmental problem. Sea level rise is the cause of occuring frequent flooding in the low level countries. High precipitation is also a result of climate change. Frequent rainning is responsible of landslide and flooding. These wash away plants, animals as well as human lives.
Global warming is currently experiened by most of the courties. It causes of heat strocks and death of human and animal. In Saudi Arabia, it is observed that the tires of parked cars are melted due to high temperature. In some countries, temperature goes to the low level than the imagination and become cause of acclerating the flues in the environment.
In conclusion, I can say that I am experiencing the adverse impact of environmental issues. The impact is not limited only on the plants and animals, it is also perversing the human lives and their activities. Everyone should pay an attention in this global issue and get themselves devoted to the policy making so that everyone can live a healthy and sustainable life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response is relevant to environmental problems and gives a clear view that climate change harms both wildlife and people. However, the task asks you to discuss two views: species loss as the main problem, and other environmental problems as more important. You mainly describe climate change and its effects, without explaining why some people consider species loss the central issue or comparing its importance with other problems. Examples such as Australian forest fires and flooding support the general topic, but the argument is not developed enough to address all parts. The conclusion repeats that environmental damage affects humans as well as nature. To strengthen the response, present both viewpoints explicitly, support each with reasons, and state which you consider more important. (Eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted.)
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on related effects, and transitions such as “Besides this” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. However, the overall progression is limited: the body paragraphs list climate-related consequences rather than developing and comparing the two views in the question. Some links are unclear, particularly the shift from sea-level rise and flooding to heat-related effects, and “This” in “This is the main reason” has an imprecise reference. The repeated focus on climate change also makes the organisation feel somewhat repetitive. A clearer plan, with one paragraph for each viewpoint and a final comparison, would improve progression and cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of environmental vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “sea level rise,” “precipitation,” “landslide” and “sustainable life.” These terms show an attempt to discuss the topic beyond basic language. However, several word choices, collocations and spelling errors reduce precision: “political hypocrisy” is not clearly connected to the essay, “unstable environment for survival” is awkward, and “perversing the human lives” does not convey the intended meaning naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “obseverd,” “temperatue” and “experiened.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for species decline and environmental pressures would also help you discuss the task directly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response includes some attempts at complex sentences, for example, “High temperature causes of forest fires as a result a large area of forest loses it plants and animals.” However, these structures are often faulty, and sentence boundaries are not always controlled. There are recurring problems with verb forms and sentence construction, as in “there are different types of challenges are identifying,” and with articles, agreement and plurals, as in “the tires of parked cars are melted” and “the impact is not limited only on the plants.” Some sentences are understandable, but errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using clear punctuation.
